1ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದಲೂ ಬಂಧು ಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರ ಬಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು.
1Now Yahweh said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you.
2ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ನೀನು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವಾಗಿರುವಿ.
2I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you, and make your name great. You will be a blessing.
3ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸು ವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲ್ಪಡು ವವು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
3I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. In you will all of the families of the earth be blessed."
4ಹೀಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು. ಲೋಟನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು. ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಹಾರಾನಿ ನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಾಗ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತೈದು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
4So Abram went, as Yahweh had spoken to him. Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಯಳನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಲೋಟ ನನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಹಾರಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಅವರು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.
5Abram took Sarai his wife, Lot his brother's son, all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls who they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan. Into the land of Canaan they came.
6ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೆಕೆಮ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಮೋರೆಯೆಂಬ ಮೈದಾನದ ವರೆಗೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
6Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. The Canaanite was then in the land.
7ಕರ್ತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದನು.
7Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said, "I will give this land to your seed." He built an altar there to Yahweh, who appeared to him.
8ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ಪೂರ್ವದ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇತೇಲು ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯಿಯು ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡನು.
8He left from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to Yahweh, and called on the name of Yahweh.
9ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದ್ದನು.
9Abram traveled, going on still toward the South.
10ಆಗ ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಬರವು ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
10There was a famine in the land. Abram went down into Egypt to live as a foreigner there, for the famine was sore in the land.
11ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಯಳಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ರೂಪವತಿ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದೆ.
11It happened, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, "See now, I know that you are a beautiful woman to look on.
12ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಈಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಸುವರು.
12It will happen, when the Egyptians will see you, that they will say, 'This is his wife.' They will kill me, but they will save you alive.
13ನಿನ್ನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಉಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
13Please say that you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that my soul may live because of you."
14ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಬಹಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ವುಳ್ಳವಳೆಂದು ನೋಡಿದರು.
14It happened that when Abram had come into Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.
15ಫರೋಹನ ಪ್ರಧಾ ನರು ಸಹ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಲಾಗಿ ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಫರೋಹನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಳು.
15The princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.
16ಅವನು ಆಕೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕುರಿಗಳೂ ಎತ್ತುಗಳೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳೂ ದಾಸರೂ ದಾಸಿ ಯರೂ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಕತ್ತೆಗಳೂ ಒಂಟೆಗಳೂ ದೊರೆತವು.
16He dealt well with Abram for her sake. He had sheep, and oxen, and male donkeys, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and female donkeys, and camels.
17ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಯಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಹಾಬಾಧೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
17Yahweh plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.
18ಆಗ ಫರೋ ಹನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ--ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು? ಈಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೆಂದು ಯಾಕೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ?
18Pharaoh called Abram, and said, "What is this that you have done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she was your wife?
19ನೀನು--ಆಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರಿ ಎಂದು ಯಾಕೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆ? ನೀನು ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ; ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು ಅಂದನು.ಫರೋಹನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅವನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
19Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her to be my wife? Now therefore, see your wife, take her, and go your way."
20ಫರೋಹನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅವನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
20Pharaoh gave men charge concerning him: and they brought him on the way, and his wife, and all that he had.
