ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
1
The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2
ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ಒಂದು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತರುವೆನೋ ಆಗ ಆ ದೇಶದ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿ ತಮಗೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ,

Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and tell them, When I bring the sword on a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman;

ಅವನ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಕಹಳೆಯನ್ನೂದಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದಾಗ,

if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

ಯಾವನು ಕಹಳೆಯ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಆಗ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವು ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು.

then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and doesn't take warning, if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.

ಅವನು ಕಹಳೆಯ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವದು. ಆದರೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಾಗುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊ ಳ್ಳುವನು.

He heard the sound of the trumpet, and didn't take warning; his blood shall be on him; whereas if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul.

ಆದರೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಕಹಳೆಯನ್ನು ಊದದೆ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಆಗ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಬಂದು ಅವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಅಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವೆನು.

But if the watchman sees the sword come, and doesn't blow the trumpet, and the people aren't warned, and the sword comes, and take any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

ಓ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರಿಗೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸು.

So you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
8
ನಾನು ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ--ಓ ದುಷ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನೀನು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡದೆ ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ದುಷ್ಟ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವನ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವನು; ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವೆನು.

When I tell the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you don't speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.
9
ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನೀನು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಅವನ ದುಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಲು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ತಿರುಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವನು; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.

Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn't turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
10
ಓ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು --ನಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳೂ ಪಾಪಗಳೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದು ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು; ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಿರಲ್ಲಾ?

You, son of man, tell the house of Israel: Thus you speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them; how then can we live?
11
ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ --ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನನಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಸಾವಿನಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷ ಸಿಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ದುರ್ಮಾ ರ್ಗದಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಜೀವಿಸುವದಾದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನನಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷಸಿಗುವದು; ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರೇ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿರಿ, ನೀವು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಸಾಯುವದು ಯಾಕೆ?

Tell them, As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn you , turn you from your evil ways; for why will you die, house of Israel?
12
ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಪುತ್ರನೇ. ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ನೀತಿವಂತನ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವನ ಅಪರಾಧದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದುಷ್ಟನ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವು ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗುವ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಬದುಕ ಲಾರನು.

You, son of man, tell the children of your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his disobedience; and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither shall he who is righteous be able to live thereby in the day that he sins.
13
ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಬದುಕುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ--ಅವನು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅವನ ಸ್ವಂತ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೀತಿಯು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವನ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಅವನು ಸಾಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

When I tell the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his righteousness, and commit iniquity, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in his iniquity that he has committed, therein shall he die.
14
ನಾನು ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಪಾಪ ದಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಮತ್ತು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ನೀತಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ

Again, when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
15
ದುಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಒತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ಜೀವದ ನಿಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದರೆ ಅವನು ಸಾಯದೆ ಖಂಡಿತ ವಾಗಿ ಬದುಕುವನು.

if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
16
ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಪಾಪ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಜ್ಞಾಪ ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ನೀತಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಬದುಕುವನು.

None of his sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him: he has done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
17
ಆದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು--ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಸಮವಿಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರಿಗಾದರೋ ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವೇ ಸಮವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
17
Yet the children of your people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
18
ಯಾವಾಗ ನೀತಿ ವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೋ ಮತ್ತು ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವನೋ ಅವನು ಖಂಡಿತ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವನು.

When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall even die therein.
19
ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನ್ಯಾಯ ವನ್ನೂ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬದುಕುವನು.
19
When the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
20
ಆದರೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನ ದವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.

Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. House of Israel, I will judge you everyone after his ways.
21
ನಮ್ಮ ಸೆರೆಯ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೇ ವರುಷದ ಹತ್ತನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಐದನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಯೆರೂಸ ಲೇಮಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನೊಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಹೊಡೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

It happened in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, The city has been struck.
22
ಆಗ ಅವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವ ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ, ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೈ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ತನಕ ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ನನ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆದಿತ್ತು. ನಾನು ಮೂಕನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Now the hand of Yahweh had been on me in the evening, before he who was escaped came; and he had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more mute.
23
ಆಮೇಲೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--

The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
24
ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇಶದ ಹಾಳು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವರು-- ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನೇ ಒಬ್ಬನಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು, ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಬಹಳ ಜನರಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೇಶವು ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Son of man, they who inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
25
ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನೀವು ರಕ್ತದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವರ ಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲುವ ನೀವು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರೋ?

Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood: and shall you possess the land?
26
ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೋ?

You stand on your sword, you work abomination, and you defile everyone his neighbor's wife: and shall you possess the land?
27
ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದ ದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳು ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವರು; ಬಯಲಿ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೊಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ; ಕೋಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ವರು ವ್ಯಾಧಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವರು.

Thus shall you tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: As I live, surely those who are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him who is in the open field will I give to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
28
ನಾನು ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಪಾಳು ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅದರ ಬಲದ ಮಹತ್ತು ತೀರಿಹೋಗುವದು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಾಳಾಗು ವವು.
28
I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment; and the pride of her power shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, so that none shall pass through.
29
ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಸಹ್ಯಗ ಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಾಶಗೊಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ನಾನೇ ಕರ್ತನೆಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಯುವರು.

Then shall they know that I am Yahweh, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇನ್ನು ಮನೆಗಳ ಬಾಗಲುಗಳಿಗೂ ಗೋಡೆಗಳಿಗೂ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೆಲ್ಲರೂ--ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವ ಮಾತು ಏನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

As for you, son of man, the children of your people talk of you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, everyone to his brother, saying, Please come and hear what is the word that comes forth from Yahweh.

ಬೇರೆ ಜನರು ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಜನರು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವರು, ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವರು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವು ಲೋಭತ್ವದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವದು.

They come to you as the people comes, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don't do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.

ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಇಂಪಾದ ಶಬ್ದವುಳ್ಳಂತ, ತಂತಿವಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಬಾರಿಸುವಂತ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ರಾಗದ ಹಾಗಿರುವಿ; ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.ಯಾವಾಗ ಇದು ಬರುತ್ತದೋ ಆಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವದು.

Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don't do them.

ಯಾವಾಗ ಇದು ಬರುತ್ತದೋ ಆಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವದು.

When this comes to pass, (behold, it comes,) then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.
