1ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೇ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ, ಮೊದಲನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

1It happened in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

2ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸಮೂಹದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನಾಗಿರುವೆ?

2Son of man, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude: Whom are you like in your greatness?

3ಇಗೋ, ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್ಯವು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ದೇವ ದಾರು ಆಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ನೆರಳು ದಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ, ಎತ್ತರವು ನೀಳವಾಗಿದೆ; ಅದರ ತುದಿಯು ದಟ್ಟವಾದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.

3Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with beautiful branches, and with a forest-like shade, and of high stature; and its top was among the thick boughs.

4ನೀರು ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿತು, ಅಗಾಧವು ತನ್ನ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಹರಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಯಲಿನ ಮರಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.

4The waters nourished it, the deep made it to grow: the rivers of it ran round about its plantation; and it sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.

5ಆದ ದರಿಂದ ಅದರ ಎತ್ತರವು ಬಯಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರ ಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಅದು ಹಬ್ಬಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನೀರಿನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಅದರ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಅಧಿಕವಾದವು; ಅದರ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳು ಉದ್ದವಾದವು.

5Therefore its stature was exalted above all the trees of the field; and its boughs were multiplied, and its branches became long by reason of many waters, when it shot them forth.

6ಅದರ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಗೂಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವು; ಅದರ ರೆಂಬೆ ಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಯಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೃಗಗಳು ಮರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜನ್ಮಕೊಟ್ಟವು; ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಹಾಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದವು.

6All the birds of the sky made their nests in its boughs; and under its branches did all the animals of the field bring forth their young; and under its shadow lived all great nations.

7ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ಉದ್ದದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನ ಬೇರು ಮಹಾ ನೀರಿನಿಂದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

7Thus was it beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches; for its root was by many waters.

8ದೇವರ ತೋಟದ ದೇವದಾರುಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳು ಅವನ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮ ವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಲದ ಮರಗಳು ಅವನ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳಷ್ಟೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆ ದೇವರ ತೋಟದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮರವು ಇವನ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.

8The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it; the fir trees were not like its boughs, and the plane trees were not as its branches; nor was any tree in the garden of God like it in its beauty.

9ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ಸಮೂಹದಿಂದ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯಪಡಿಸಿದೆನು; ಅದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ತೋಟ ದಲ್ಲಿನ ಏದೆನಿನ ಮರಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೇ ಕಿಚ್ಚುಪಟ್ಟವು.

9I made it beautiful by the multitude of its branches, so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.

10ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ನೀಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಾಚಿದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ತನ್ನ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

10Therefore thus said the Lord Yahweh: Because you are exalted in stature, and he has set his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;

11ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೂರನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇವನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

11I will even deliver him into the hand of the mighty one of the nations; he shall surely deal with him; I have driven him out for his wickedness.

12ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಂಕರವಾದ ಅಪರಿಚಿತರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕು ವರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ತಗ್ಗುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಬೀಳುವವು, ದೇಶದ ಹಳ್ಳಗಳ ಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು; ಭೂಮಿಯ ಜನಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನ ನೆರಳಿನಿಂದ ದೂರ ಸರಿದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವರು.

12Strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: on the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the watercourses of the land; and all the peoples of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.

13ಅವನ ಬುಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು; ಬಯಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಅವನ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವು;

13On his ruin all the birds of the sky shall dwell, and all the animals of the field shall be on his branches;

14ನೀರಾವರಿಯ ಯಾವ ಮರಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಎತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಮ್ಮ ತುದಿಯನ್ನು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗಲಿಸದೆ ಇರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೀರುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮರಗಳು ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಚಾಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲೆಂದು ಹೀಗಾಯಿತು, ಅವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಣದ ಪಾಲಾಗುವವು; ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧೋ ಲೋಕವೇ ಗತಿಯಾಗುವದು, ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋದ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಜನ್ಮದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದೇ ಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಸೇರುವವು.

14to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, neither set their top among the thick boughs, nor that their mighty ones stand up on their height, even all who drink water: for they are all delivered to death, to the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with those who go down to the pit.

15ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಳಾಟ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವೆನು, ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಅಗಾಧವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವೆನು; ನಾನು ಅದರ ಪ್ರವಾಹವನ್ನು ತಡೆಹಿಡಿಯುವೆನು; ಮಹಾ ಜಲವು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವು. ನಾನು ಲೆಬನೋನನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಳಾಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಬಯಲಿನ ಮರಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕುಗ್ಗಿಹೋಗುವವು.

15Thus says the Lord Yahweh: In the day when he went down to Sheol I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the rivers of it; and the great waters were stayed; and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

16ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಣಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವವರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಅದು ಬಿದ್ದ ಶಬ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ನಡುಗಿದವು; ಅಧೋ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾಲಾದ ಏದೆನಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಗಳು, ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಉತ್ತಮೋತ್ತಮವಾದ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳು, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯುವವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೈಸಿ ಕೊಂಡವು.

16I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth.

17ಅವರು ಕೂಡ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಅವನ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಅವನ ಕೈಗಳು ಸಹ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡವೇ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತವಾದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗುವವು;ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಘನತೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಏದೆನಿನ ಯಾವ ಮರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮ ನಾಗಿರುವೆ? ಆದರೂ ಏದೆನಿನ ಮರಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವಿ; ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತವಾದವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲ ಗುವಿ. ಇದೇ ಫರೋಹನನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನ ಸಮೂಹವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

17They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were his arm, that lived under his shadow in the midst of the nations.

18ನೀನು ಹೀಗೆ ಘನತೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ದೊಡ್ಡಸ್ತಿಕೆ ಯಿಂದಲೂ ಏದೆನಿನ ಯಾವ ಮರಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮ ನಾಗಿರುವೆ? ಆದರೂ ಏದೆನಿನ ಮರಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಳಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವಿ; ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹತವಾದವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲ ಗುವಿ. ಇದೇ ಫರೋಹನನೂ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನ ಸಮೂಹವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

18To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shall you be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth: you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Yahweh.
