1ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
1The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮ್ಯಗಳನು ಒಗಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳು.
2Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel;
3ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ ಉದ್ದವಾದ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ ಉಳ್ಳಂಥ ವಿಧವಿಧವಾದ ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಪುಕ್ಕಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದಂಥ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹದ್ದು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ದೇವದಾರಿನ ಮರದ ಮೇಲ್ಗಡೆಯ ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಿತು.
3and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: A great eagle with great wings and long feathers, full of feathers, which had various colors, came to Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar:
4ಅದರ ಚಿಗುರುಗಳ ಕೊನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ವರ್ತಕರಿರುವ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿತು.
4he cropped off the topmost of the young twigs of it, and carried it to a land of traffic; he set it in a city of merchants.
5ಅದು ದೇಶದ ಬೀಜವನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಫಲವುಳ್ಳ ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿತು; ಅದು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನೀರಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ನೀರವಂಜಿಯ ಮರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆಳೆಯಿಸಿತು.
5He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful soil; he placed it beside many waters; he set it as a willow tree.
6ಅದು ಮೊಳೆತು ತಗ್ಗಾದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬುವ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಗಿಡವಾಯಿತು; ಅದರ ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಂಡವು, ಅದರ ಬೇರುಗಳು ಅದರ ಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದವು; ಹೀಗೆ ಅದು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಗಿಡವಾಯಿತು, ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಒಡೆದು ಬಳ್ಳಿಗಳು ಹಬ್ಬಿದವು.
6It grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots of it were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
7ದೊಡ್ಡ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ ಬಹಳ ಗರಿಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹದ್ದು ಇತ್ತು; ಆಗ ಇಗೋ, ಆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇ ಗಿಡವು ತಾನು ನಾಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಪಾತಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅದರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ಅದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
7There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend its roots toward him, and shot forth its branches toward him, from the beds of its plantation, that he might water it.
8ಅದು ಕೊಂಬೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿ ಫಲಫಲಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇಗಿಡ ಆಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನೀರಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
8It was planted in a good soil by many waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine.
9ನೀನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ -- ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ರುವದೋ? ಆ ಹದ್ದು ಅದರ ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ಅದರ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಅದು ಒಣಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅದರ ಮೊಳಕೆಯ ಎಲೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಣಗಿಹೋದಾಗ ಅದನ್ನು ಬೇರು ಸಹಿತ ಕೀಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮಹಾಬಲವಾಗಲೀ ಅಥವಾ ಬಹಳ ಜನರಾಗಲೀ ಇರಬೇಕು.
9Say you, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots of it, and cut off the fruit of it, that it may wither; that all its fresh springing leaves may wither? and not by a strong arm or much people can it be raised from the roots of it.
10ಹೌದು, ಇಗೋ, ನೆಟ್ಟಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅದು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವದೇ? ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಡಣಗಾಳಿ ತಗಲುವಾಗ ಅದು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗಿ ಒಣಗುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅದು ಮೊಳೆತ ಪಾತಿಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುವದು.
10Yes, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind touches it? it shall wither in the beds where it grew.
11ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
11Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
12ಇದರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರು ಬೀಳುವ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ಇಗೋ, ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅದರ ಅರಸ ನನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
12Say now to the rebellious house, Don't you know what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king of it, and the princes of it, and brought them to him to Babylon:
13ಅರಸನ ಸಂತಾನ ದವರನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿಸಿ ದೇಶದ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
13and he took of the seed royal, and made a covenant with him; he also brought him under an oath, and took away the mighty of the land;
14ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ತಗ್ಗಾಗಿ ಮೇಲೇಳದ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವದರಿಂದ ಅದು ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು.
14that the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
15ಆದರೆ ಇವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿ ತನಗೆ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಇವನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯಾಗುವನೋ? ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನೋ? ಅಥವಾ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವದೋ?
15But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape who does such things? shall he break the covenant, and yet escape?
16ನಿಶ್ಚ ಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅರಸುತನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಅರಸನೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಯಾವನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದನೋ ಯಾವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿದನೋ ಅವನು ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಇವನು ಸಾಯುವನು ಎಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
16As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
17ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಫರೋಹನೂ ಅವನ ಮಹಾ ಸೈನ್ಯವೂ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪರಿವಾರವೂ ಬಂದು ಬಹಳ ಜನ ರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದಿಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟುವಾಗಲೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
17Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company help him in the war, when they cast up mounds and build forts, to cut off many persons.
18ಅವನು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಕೈಕೊಟ್ಟಾಗ್ಯೂ; ಇಗೋ, ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಾರಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
18For he has despised the oath by breaking the covenant; and behold, he had given his hand, and yet has done all these things; he shall not escape.
19ಆದದರಿಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು ತ್ತಾನೆ--ಅವನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವನ್ನೂ ಅವನು ವಿಾರಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವ ದಾಣೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವೆನು.
19Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: As I live, surely my oath that he has despised, and my covenant that he has broken, I will even bring it on his own head.
20ನಾನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಆಗ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಉರ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವನು; ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದು ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಅಪರಾಧದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾದಿಸುವೆನು.
20I will spread my net on him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will enter into judgment with him there for his trespass that he has trespassed against me.
21ಅವನ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚದರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವರು; ಉಳಿದವರು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಗೆ ಚದರಿಸ ಲ್ಪಡುವರು; ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ದೆನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದು.
21All his fugitives in all his bands shall fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered toward every wind: and you shall know that I, Yahweh, have spoken it.
22ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ದೇವದಾರಿನ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಡುವೆನು; ಎಳೆಯದಾದ ಒಂದನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಪರ್ವತದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಟುವೆನು.
22Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain:
23ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಉನ್ನತ ಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ನೆಡುವೆನು; ಅದರ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಒಡೆದು ಫಲಫಲಿಸುವದು; ಘನವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವದಾರು ಆಗುವದು; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪುಕ್ಕಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳ ನೆರಳಿನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವವು; ಅದರಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವು.ಕರ್ತ ನಾದ ನಾನು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಮರವನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿ, ತಗ್ಗಾ ದದ್ದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರಪಡಿಸಿ (ಬೆಳಸಿ) ಹಸುರಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ಒಣಗಿಸಿ, ಒಣಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಚಿಗುರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅರ ಣ್ಯದ ಸಕಲ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳು ತಿಳಿಯುವವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
23in the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shade of the branches of it shall they dwell.
24ಕರ್ತ ನಾದ ನಾನು ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಮರವನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿ, ತಗ್ಗಾ ದದ್ದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರಪಡಿಸಿ (ಬೆಳಸಿ) ಹಸುರಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ಒಣಗಿಸಿ, ಒಣಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಚಿಗುರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅರ ಣ್ಯದ ಸಕಲ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳು ತಿಳಿಯುವವೆಂದು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
24All the trees of the field shall know that I, Yahweh, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I, Yahweh, have spoken and have done it.
