ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವದು ಹೇಗೂ ವಿಹಿತವಲ್ಲ ದಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದು ನನಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ದರ್ಶನಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕಟನೆಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು, ಅವನು ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ವರುಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಮೂರನೇ ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. (ಅವನ ದೇಹಸಹಿತನಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನೋ ದೇಹರಹಿತನಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನೋ ನಾನು ಹೇಳಲಾರೆನು; ದೇವರೇ ಬಲ್ಲನು.)

I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I don't know, or whether out of the body, I don't know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven.

ಅಂಥ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು; (ಅವನು ದೇಹಸಹಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದನೋ ದೇಹ ರಹಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದನೋ ನಾನು ಹೇಳಲಾರೆನು, ದೇವರೇ ಬಲ್ಲನು;)

I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don't know; God knows),

ಅಂಥ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಪರದೈಸಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನುಡಿಯಲಶಕ್ಯವಾದ ಆಡಲಾಗದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

ಅಂಥವನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವೆನು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತಾದರೋ ನನ್ನ ನಿರ್ಬಲಾವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.

On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.

ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿ ದ್ದರೂ ನಾನು ಬುದ್ದಿಹೀನನಾಗುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು. ಆದರೂ ಯಾವನೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳುವದ ಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಎಣಿಸದಂತೆ ನಾನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುವೆನು;

For if I would desire to boast, I will not be foolish; for I will speak the truth. But I forbear, so that no man may account of me above that which he sees in me, or hears from me.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೇರಳವಾದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾನು ಮಿತಿವಿಾರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುದ್ದುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸೈತಾನನ ದೂತನಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಮುಳ್ಳು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ; ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಿತಿವಿಾರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರದಂತೆ ಇದಾಯಿತು.

By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted excessively.

ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.

Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.

ಅದಕ್ಕಾತನು--ನನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಕು; ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಬಲವು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಬಲವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನನಗುಂಟಾಗುವ ನಿರ್ಬಲಾ ವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಹು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವೆನು.

He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿರ್ಬಲಾವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಮಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರತೆ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಸೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗ ನಿರ್ಬಲ ನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೋ ಅವಾಗಲೇ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

ನಾನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನ ನಾದೆನು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಲೇ ನನಗೆ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಯು ಉಂಟಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಏನೂ ಅಲ್ಲದವನಾದರೂ ಅತಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರಾದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಿಗಿಂತ ಯಾವದರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾದವನಲ್ಲ.

I have become foolish in boasting. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you, for in nothing was I inferior to the very best apostles, though I am nothing.

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅದ್ಭುತಗಳನ್ನು ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಿಗೆ ಇರತಕ್ಕ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ನಿಜ ವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿದವು.

Truly the signs of an apostle were worked among you in all patience, in signs and wonders and mighty works.

ಭಾರವನ್ನು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬ ಒಂದೇ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರತು ಇನ್ನಾವ ವಿಷಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮಿಕ್ಕಾದ ಸಭೆಗಳವರಿಗಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ; ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಈ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿರಿ.

For what is there in which you were made inferior to the rest of the assemblies, unless it is that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong.

ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವದು ಇದು ಮೂರನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ; ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಭಾರವಾಗಿ ರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೊತ್ತನು ಆಶಿಸದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೇ ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಂದೆತಾಯಿ ಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಡುವದು ತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ಮಕ

Behold, this is the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I seek not your possessions, but you. For the children ought not to save up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
15
ನಾನಂತೂ ನನಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅತಿ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ವೆಚ್ಚಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನೇ ವೆಚ್ಚ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.

I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?

ಅದಿರಲಿ, ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಭಾರವಿಲ್ಲದ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಯುಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಉಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದೆನು.

But be it so, I did not myself burden you. But, being crafty, I caught you with deception.
17
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿಯಾಗಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ನಾನು ಲಾಭ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡೆನೋ?

Did I take advantage of you by anyone of them whom I have sent to you?
18
ನಾನು ತೀತನನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು; ತೀತನು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಏನಾದರೂ ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಕೊಂಡನೋ? ನಾವಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಆತ್ಮನಿಂದ ನಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾವು ಒಂದೇ ತರವಾದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಜಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

I exhorted Titus, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? Didn't we walk in the same spirit? Didn't we walk in the same steps?

ನಾವು ತಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲದವರೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇ ವೆಂದು ನೆನಸುತ್ತೀರೋ? ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಮಾತನಾಡುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅತಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರೇ, ನಾವು ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭಕ್ತಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Again, do you think that we are excusing ourselves to you? In the sight of God we speak in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.
20
ನಾನು ಬಂದಾಗ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇನೋ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಇಷ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತೋರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇನೋ, ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಗಳು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚು ಕೋಪ ಜಗಳ ಚಾಡಿ ಹೇಳುವದು ಕಿವಿಯೂದುವದು ಉಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು ಕಲಹ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುವದು ಇವುಗಳು ಕಾಣಬಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗು ವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಮಾಡಾನೆಂತಲೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧತೆ ಹಾದರತನ ಬಂಡುತನಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡದೆ ಆಗಲೇ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅನೇಕರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಡಬೇಕಾದೀತೆಂತಲೂ ನನಗೆ ಭಯವುಂಟು.

For I am afraid that by any means, when I come, I might find you not the way I want to, and that I might be found by you as you don't desire; that by any means there would be strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, whisperings, proud thoughts, riots;

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗು ವಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಮಾಡಾನೆಂತಲೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧತೆ ಹಾದರತನ ಬಂಡುತನಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪ ಪಡದೆ ಆಗಲೇ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅನೇಕರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಡಬೇಕಾದೀತೆಂತಲೂ ನನಗೆ ಭಯವುಂಟು.

that again when I come my God would humble me before you, and I would mourn for many of those who have sinned before now, and not repented of the uncleanness and sexual immorality and lustfulness which they committed.
