1ದೇವರ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೂ ಆತನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೂ ದೂಷಣೆ ಉಂಟಾಗದಂತೆ ನೊಗದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಂತ ಯಜಮಾನರನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾನಕ್ಕೂ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂದೆ ಣಿಸಲಿ.
1Let as many as are bondservants under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and the doctrine not be blasphemed.
2ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಯಜಮಾನರಿರುವವರು, ಆ ಯಜಮಾನರನ್ನು ಸಹೋದರರೆಂದು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡದೆ ಆದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲು ಹೊಂದುವವರೂ ನಂಬುವವರೂ ಪ್ರಿಯರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸು.
2Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
3ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬೇರೆ ವಿಧವಾದ ಉಪದೇಶ ವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೂ ಭಕ್ತ್ಯನುಸಾರವಾದ ಬೋಧನೆಗೂ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ
3If anyone teaches a different doctrine, and doesn't consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
4ಅಂಥವನು ಒಂದನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಕುತರ್ಕ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಭ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಅಹಂಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಟ್ಟೇಕಿಚ್ಚು ಜಗಳ ದೂಷಣೆ ದುಸ್ಸಂಶಯ ಇವುಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.
4he is conceited, knowing nothing, but obsessed with arguments, disputes, and word battles, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
5ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬುದ್ದಿಗೆಟ್ಟು ಸತ್ಯವಿಹೀನರಾಗಿದ್ದು ದೇವಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಲಾಭಸಾಧನವೆಂದೆಣಿಸುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ವಾದ ವಿವಾದಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಇಂಥವರಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
5constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.
6ಸಂತುಷ್ಟಿಸಹಿತವಾದ ಭಕ್ತಿಯು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಲಾಭವೇ ಸರಿ.
6But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7ನಾವು ಲೋಕದೊಳಗೆ ಏನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲವಷ್ಟೆ; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಏನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾರೆವು.
7For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out.
8ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅನ್ನವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ತೃಪ್ತರಾಗಿರೋಣ.
8But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
9ಆದರೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಾಗ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡುವವರು ಶೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉರ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಅನೇಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾನಿಕರವಾದ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂಥ ಆಶೆಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ನಾಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
9But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.
10ಹಣದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಸಕಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವರು ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತುರಪಟ್ಟು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ದುಃಖಗಳಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವೇ ತಿವಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11ಓ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ನೀನಾದರೋ ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರ ಓಡಿಹೋಗು; ನೀತಿ ಭಕ್ತಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ತಾಳ್ಮೆ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕತ್ವ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸು.
11But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.
12ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಹೋರಾಟವನ್ನು ಮಾಡು, ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೋ; ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ನೀನು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ. ನೀನು ಅನೇಕ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಅರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ.
12Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.
13ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸುವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಪೊಂತ್ಯ ಪಿಲಾತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಅರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಕ್ಷೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--
13I charge you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,
14ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗುವ ತನಕ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಷ್ಕಳಂಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಂದಾರಹಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಕಾಪಾಡಬೇಕು.
14that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
15ಸ್ತುತಿ ಹೊಂದತಕ್ಕ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಸರ್ವ ಶಕ್ತನು. ತನ್ನ ಸಮಯಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಪಡಿಸುವನು; ಆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ರಾಜಾಧಿರಾಜನೂ ಕರ್ತರ ಕರ್ತನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ;
15which in its own times he will show, who is the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16ಆತನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಅಮರತ್ವವುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಯಾರೂ ಸವಿಾಪಿಸಲಾರದಂತ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವಾತನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾರೂ ಕಾಣ ಲಾರರು; ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮಾನವೂ ನಿತ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರವೂ ಇರಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್‌.
16who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; whom no man has seen, nor caoing to believe in him for eternnal power. Amen.
17ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವರು ಅಹಂಕಾರಿ ಗಳಾಗಿರದೆ, ಅಸ್ಥಿರವಾದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಭರವಸ ವನ್ನಿಡದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭೋಗಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಮಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ವನ್ನೂ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಭರವಸವನ್ನಿಡಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ
17Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;
18ಅವರು ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಸತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರೂ ಪಾಲುಕೊಡುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ರುವವರೂ ಪರೋಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದು.
18that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವಾಗುವಂಥ ವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಾಗಿರ ಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು.
19laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.
20ಓ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನೇ, ಅಪಭ್ರಷ್ಟವಾದ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೂ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ತರ್ಕ ಗಳಿಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವದನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.ಕೆಲವರು ಆ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋದರು. ಕೃಪೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್‌.
20Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;
21ಕೆಲವರು ಆ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋದರು. ಕೃಪೆಯು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್‌.
21which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.
