1ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾಗಲು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾ ನೆಂದು ತೂರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೀರಾಮನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಹೀರಾಮನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದಾವೀದ ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
1Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.
2ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹೀರಾಮನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--
2Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
3ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದನೆಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಪಾದದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಅವನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು.
3You know how that David my father could not build a house for the name of Yahweh his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until Yahweh put them under the soles of his feet.
4ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಶತ್ರುವಿನಿಂದ ತಗಲುವ ಕೇಡು ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
4But now Yahweh my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary, nor evil occurrence.
5ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನಿನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಇರಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುವನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲವೇ.
5Behold, I purpose to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, as Yahweh spoke to David my father, saying, Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your room, he shall build the house for my name.
6ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನನ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯಲು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು. ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಕೂಡ ಇರಲಿ. ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡು ತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀದೋನ್ಯರ ಹಾಗೆ ಮರವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಯಲು ತಿಳಿದವರಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
6Now therefore command you that they cut me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with your servants; and I will give you hire for your servants according to all that you shall say: for you know that there is not among us any who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.
7ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಬಹು ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು--ಈ ಮಹಾ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳ ಮಗನನ್ನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ ಅಂದನು.
7It happened, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be Yahweh this day, who has given to David a wise son over this great people.
8ಹೀರಾಮನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿ ದ್ದೇನೆ. ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳ ವಿಷಯವೂ ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳ ವಿಷಯವೂ ನೀನು ಇಚ್ಚೈಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
8Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard the message which you have sent to me: I will do all your desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.
9ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬ ನೋನಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಚೆಯನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುವಿ ಅಂದನು.
9My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; and I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you shall appoint me, and will cause them to be broken up there, and you shall receive them; and you shall accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.
10ಹೀಗೆ ಹೀರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಚೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗ ಳನ್ನೂ ತುರಾಯಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
10So Hiram gave Solomon timber of cedar and timber of fir according to all his desire.
11ಸೊಲೊ ಮೋನನು ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಆಹಾರ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಅಳತೆ ಗೋಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಅಳತೆ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರುಷ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು.
11Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.
12ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀರಾಮನಿಗೂ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಉಂಟಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
12Yahweh gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
13ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಂದ ಬಿಟ್ಟೀ ಆಳುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡನು. ಆ ಬಿಟ್ಟೀ ಆಳುಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿದನು.
13King Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
14ಅವನು ವಂತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು; ಅವರು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು. ಅದೋನೀರಾಮನು ಬಿಟ್ಟೀ ಆಳುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜಮಾನನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
14He sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses; a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home; and Adoniram was over the men subject to forced labor.
15ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಹೊರೆಹೊರುವ ವರು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರವೂ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಕುಟಿಗರು ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರವೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
15Solomon had seventy thousand who bore burdens, and eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains;
16ಇದರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಕೆಲ ಸದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದರು. ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡುವ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು.
16besides Solomon's chief officers who were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, who bore rule over the people who labored in the work.
17ಅರಸನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮನೆಯ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಲು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಂದರು.ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಾರರೂ ಹಿರಾಮನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಾ ರರೂ ಗಿಬ್ಲಿಯರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
17The king commanded, and they hewed out great stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with worked stone.
18ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಾರರೂ ಹಿರಾಮನ ಶಿಲ್ಪಕಾ ರರೂ ಗಿಬ್ಲಿಯರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
18Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders and the Gebalites did fashion them, and prepared the timber and the stones to build the house.
