ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲೀಯನು ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಗೇಲಿಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿರಿ, ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಒಬ್ಬ ದೇವರು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನು.; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವನು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನು; ಈಗ ಅವನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
World English Bible
It happened at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud; for he is a god: either he is musing, or he is gone aside, or he is on a journey, or peradventure he sleeps and must be awakened.
