ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋವಾಬನು--ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಈಗ ಇರುವದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನೂರರಷ್ಟಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಲಿ; ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಅರಸನೇ, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರು ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲವೋ? ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವದು ಯಾಕೆ? ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುವದು ಯಾಕೆ ಅಂದನು.
World English Bible
Joab said, Yahweh make his people a hundred times as many as they are: but, my lord the king, aren't they all my lord's servants? why does my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?
