1हे परमेश्वर हम ने अपने कानों से सुना, हमारे बापदादों ने हम से वर्णन किया है, कि तू ने उनके दिनों में और प्राचीनकाल में क्या क्या काम किए हैं।
1For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. A contemplative psalm. We have heard with our ears, God; Our fathers have told us, What work you did in their days, In the days of old.
2तू ने अपने हाथ से जातियों को निकाल दिया, और इनको बसाया; तू ने देश देश के लोगों को दु:ख दिया, और इनको चारों ओर फैला दिया;
2You drove out the nations with your hand, But you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, But you spread them abroad.
3क्योंकि वे न तो अपनी तलवार के बल से इस देश के अधिकारी हुए, और न अपने बाहुबल से; परन्तु तेरे दहिने हाथ और तेरी भुजा और तेरे प्रसन्न मुख के कारण जयवन्त हुए; क्योंकि तू उनको चाहता था।।
3For they didn't get the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them; But your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face, Because you were favorable to them.
4हे परमेश्वर, तू ही हमारा महाराजा है, तू याकूब के उद्धार की आज्ञा देता है।
4You are my King, God. Command victories for Jacob!
5तेरे सहारे से हम अपने द्रोहियों को ढकेलकर गिरा देंगे; तेरे नाम के प्रताप से हम अपने विरोधियों को रौंदेंगे।
5Through you, will we push down our adversaries. Through your name, will we tread them under who rise up against us.
6क्योंकि मैं अपने धनुष पर भरोसा न रखूंगा, और न अपनी तलवार के बल से बचूगा।
6For I will not trust in my bow, Neither shall my sword save me.
7परन्तु तू ही ने हम को द्रोहियों से बचाया है, और हमारे बैरियों को निराश और लज्जित किया है।
7But you have saved us from our adversaries, And have shamed those who hate us.
8हम परमेश्वर की बड़ाई दिन भर करते रहते हैं, और सदैव तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करते रहेंगे।।
8In God we have made our boast all day long, We will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.
9तौभी तू ने अब हम को त्याग दिया और हमारा अनादर किया है, और हमारे दलों के साथ आगे नहीं जाता।
9But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, And don't go out with our armies.
10तू हम को शत्रु के साम्हने से हटा देता है, और हमारे बैरी मनमाने लूट मार करते हैं।
10You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take spoil for themselves.
11तू ने हमें कसाई की भेडों के समान कर दिया है, और हम को अन्य जातियों में तित्तर बित्तर किया है।
11You have made us like sheep for food, And have scattered us among the nations.
12तू अपनी प्रजा को सेंतमेंत बेच डालता है, परन्तु उनके मोल से तू धनी नहीं होता।।
12You sell your people for nothing, And have gained nothing from their sale.
13तू हमारे पड़ोसियों से हमारी नामधराई कराता है, और हमारे चारों ओर से रहनेवाले हम से हंसी ठट्ठा करते हैं।
13You make us a reproach to our neighbors, A scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
14तू हम को अन्यजातियों के बीच में उपमा ठहराता है, और देश देश के लेग हमारे कारण सिर हिलाते हैं। दिन भर हमें तिरस्कार सहना पड़ता है,
14You make us a byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the peoples.
15और कलंक लगाने और निन्दा करनेवाले के बोल से,
15All day long my dishonor is before me, And shame covers my face,
16और शत्रु और बदला लेनेवालों के कारण, बुरा- भला कहनेवालों और निन्दा करनेवालों के कारण।
16At the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, Because of the enemy and the avenger.
17यह सब कुछ हम पर बीता तौभी हम तुझे नहीं भूले, न तेरी वाचा के विषय विश्वासघात किया है।
17All this has come on us, Yet have we not forgotten you, Neither have we been false to your covenant.
18हमारे मन न बहके, न हमारे पैर तरी बाट से मुड़े;
18Our heart has not turned back, Neither have our steps strayed from your path,
19तौभी तू ने हमें गीदड़ों के स्थान में पीस डाला, और हम को घोर अन्धकार में छिपा दिया है।।
19Though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.
20यदि हम अपने परमेश्वर का नाम भूल जाते, वा किसी पराए देवता की ओर अपने हाथ फैलाते,
20If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
21तो क्या परमेश्वर इसका विचार न करता? क्योंकि वह तो मन की गुप्त बातों को जानता है।
21Won't God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
22परन्तु हम दिन भर तेरे निमित्त मार डाले जाते हैं, और उन भेड़ों के समान समझे जाते हैं जो वध होने पर हैं।।
22Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
23हे प्रभु, जाग! तू क्यों सोता है? उठ! हम को सदा के लिये त्याग न दे!
23Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don't reject us forever.
24तू क्यों अपना मुंह छिपा लेता है? और हमारा दु:ख और सताया जाना भूल जाता है?
24Why do you hide your face, And forget our affliction and our oppression?
25हमारा प्राण मिट्टी से लग गया; हमारा पेट भूमि से सट गया है।
25For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body cleaves to the earth.
26हमारी सहायता के लिये उठ खड़ा हो! और अपनी करूणा के निमित्त हम को छुड़ा ले।।
26Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness' sake.
