1हे यहोवा, न तो मेरा मन गर्व से और न मेरी दृष्टि घमण्ड से भरी है; और जो बातें बड़ी और मेरे लिये अधिक कठिन हैं, उन से मैं काम नहीं रखता।

2निश्चय मैं ने अपने मन को शान्त और चुप कर दिया है, जैसे दूध छुड़ाया हुआ लड़का अपनी मां की गोद में रहता है, वैसे ही दूध छुड़ाए हुए लड़के के समान मेरा मन भी रहता है।।
2Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3हे इस्राएल, अब से लेकर सदा सर्वदा यहोवा ही पर आशा लगाए रह!
