हम सब के सब रीछों की नाई चिल्लाते हैं और पण्डुकों के समान च्यूं च्यूं करते हैं; हम न्याय की बाट तो जोहते हैं, पर वह कहीं नहीं; और उद्धार की बाट जोहते हैं पर वह हम से दूर ही रहता है।

We roar all like bears, and moan sore like doves: we look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
