1उन दिनों में हिजकिरयाह ऐसा रोगी हुआ कि वह मरने पर था। और आमोस के पुत्रा यशायाह नबी ने उसके पास जाकर कहा, यहोवा यों कहता है, अपने घराने के विषय जो आज्ञा देनी हो वह दे, क्योंकि तू न बचेगा मर ही जाएगा।
1In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus says Yahweh, Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.
2तब हिजकिरयाह ने भी की ओर मुंह फेरकर यहोवा से प्रार्थना करके कहा;
2Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Yahweh,
3हे यहोवा, मैं बिनती करता हूं, स्मरण कर कि मैं सच्चाई और खरे मन से अपने को तेरे सम्मुख जानकर चलता आया हूं और जो तेरी दृष्टि में उचित था वही करता आया हूं। और हिजकिरयाह बिलक बिलककर रोने लगा।
3and said, Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight. Hezekiah wept sore.
4तब यहोवा का यह वचन यशायाह के पास पहुंचा,
4Then came the word of Yahweh to Isaiah, saying,
5जाकर हिजकिरयाह से कह कि तेरे मूलपुरूष दाऊद का परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, मैं ने तेरी प्रार्थना सुनी और तेरे आंसू देखे हैं; सुन, मैं तेरी आयु पन्द्रह वर्ष और बढ़ा दूंगा।
5Go, and tell Hezekiah, Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears: behold, I will add to your days fifteen years.
6अश्शूर के राजा के हाथ से मैं तेरी और इस नगर की रक्षा करके बचाऊंगा।।
6I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city.
7यहोवा अपने इस कहे हुए वचन को पूरा करेगा,
7This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken:
8और यहोवा की ओर से इस बात का तेरे लिये यह चिन्ह होगा कि धूप की छाया जो आहाज की धूपघड़ी में ढल गई है, मैं दस अंश पीछे की ओर लौटा दूंगा। सो वह छाया जो दस अंश ढल चुकी थी लौट गई।।
8behold, I will cause the shadow on the steps, which is gone down on the dial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the dial whereon it was gone down.
9यहूदा के राजा हिजकिरयाह का लेख जो उस ने लिखा जब वह रोगी होकर चंगा हो गया था, वह यह है:
9The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness.
10मैं ने कहा, अपनी आयु के बीच ही मैं अधोलोक के फाटकों में प्रवेश करूंगा; क्योंकि मेरी शेष आयु हर ली गई है।
10I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the residue of my years.
11मैं ने कहा, मैं याह को जीवितों की भूमि में फिर न देखने पाऊंगा; इस लोक के निवासियों को मैं फिर न देखूंगा।
11I said, I shall not see Yah, Yah in the land of the living: I shall see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
12मेरा घर चरवाहे के तम्बू की नाई उठा लिया गया है; मैं ने जोलाहे की नाईं अपने जीवन को लपेट दिया है; वह मुझे तांत से काट लेगा; एक ही दिन में तू मेरा अन्त कर डालेगा।
12My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me as a shepherd's tent: I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life; he will cut me off from the loom: From day even to night will you make an end of me.
13मैं भोर तक अपने मन को शान्त करता रहा; वह सिंह की नाईं मेरी सब हडि्डयों को तोड़ता है; एक ही दिन में तू मेरा अन्त कर डालता है।
13I quieted myself until morning; as a lion, so he breaks all my bones: From day even to night will you make an end of me.
14मैं सूपाबेने वा सारस की नाई च्यूं च्यूं करता, मैं पिण्डुक की नाई विलाप करता हूं। मेरी आंखें ऊपर देखते देखते पत्थरा गई हैं। हे यहोवा, मुझ पर अन्धेर हो रहा है; तू मेरा सहारा हो!
14Like a swallow or a crane, so did I chatter; I did moan as a dove; my eyes fail with looking upward: Lord, I am oppressed, be my collateral.
15मैं क्या कहूं? उसी ने मुझ से प्रतिज्ञा की और पूरा भी किया है। मैं जीवन भर कडुआहट के साथ धीरे धीरे चलता रहूंगा।।
15What shall I say? he has both spoken to me, and himself has done it: I shall go softly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.
16हे प्रभु, इन्हीं बातों से लोग जीवित हैं, और इन सभों से मेरी आत्मा को जीवन मिलता है। तू मुझे चंगा कर और मुझे जीवित रख!
16Lord, by these things men live; Wholly therein is the life of my spirit: You restore me, and cause me to live.
17देख, शान्ति ही के लिये मुझे बड़ी कडुआहट मिली; परन्तु तू ने स्नेह करके मुझे विनाश के गड़हे से निकाला है, क्योंकि मेरे सब पापों को तू ने अपनी पीठ के पीछे फेंक दिया है।
17Behold, it was for my peace that I had great bitterness: But you have in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; For you have cast all my sins behind your back.
18क्योंकि अधोलोक तेरा धन्यवाद नहीं कर सकता, न मृत्यु तेरी स्तुति कर सकती है; जो कबर में पड़ें वे तेरी सच्चाई की आशा नहीं रख सकते
18For Sheol can't praise you, death can't celebrate you: Those who go down into the pit can't hope for your truth.
19जीवित, हो जीवित ही तेरा धन्यवाद करता है, जैसा मैं आज कर रहा हूं; पिता तेरी सच्चाई का समाचार पुत्रों को देता है।।
19The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day: The father to the children shall make known your truth.
20यहोवा मेरा उद्धार करेगा, इसलिये हम जीवन भर यहोवा के भवन में तारवाले बाजों पर अपने रचे हुए गीत गातें रहेंगे।।
20Yahweh is ready to save me: Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments All the days of our life in the house of Yahweh.
21यशायाह ने कहा था, अंजीरों की एक टिकिया बनाकर हिजकिरयाह के फाड़े पर बान्धी जाए, तब वह बचेगा।
21Now Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster on the boil, and he shall recover.
22और हिजकिरयाह ने पूछा था कि इसका क्या चिन्ह है कि मैं यहोवा के भवन को फिर जाने पाऊंगा?
22Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of Yahweh?
