कि जिस दिन से मैं अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल को मिस्र से निकाल लाया, तब से मैं ने किसी इस्राएली गोत्रा का कोई नगर नहीं चुना, जिस में मेरे नाम के निवास के लिये भवन बनाया जाए; परन्तु मैं ने दाऊद को चुन लिया, कि वह मेरी प्रजा इस्राएल का अधिकारी हो।

Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
