1તે પાંચમાં દૂતે તેનું રણશિંગડું વગાડ્યું. પછી મેં આકાશમાંથી એક તારાને પૃથ્વી પર પડેલો જોયો. તે તારાને અતિ ઊંડા ખાડાની કૂંચી આપવામા આવી હતી. જે નીચે અસીમ ઊંડાઈ તરફ દોરે છે.
1The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him.
2પછી તે તારાએ અસીમ ઊંડાઈ તરફ દોરતા ખાડાને ઉઘાડ્યો. તે ખાડામાંથી મોટી ભઠ્ઠીનાના ધૂમાડા જેવો ધુમાડો નીકળ્યો; ખાડામાથી નીકળતા ધુમાડાને કારણે સૂયૅ અને આકાશમાં અંધારાં થયાં.
2He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit.
3પછી ધુમાડામાથી તીડો નીકળીને પૃથ્વી પર આવ્યાં. તેઓને વીંછુઓ જેવી ડંખ મારવાની શક્તિ આપવામાં આવી હતી.
3Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4તીડોને પૃથ્વી પરના ઘાસને કે કોઈ છોડને કે વૃક્ષને નુકસાન નહિ કરવાનું કહેવામાં આવ્યું હતું. ફક્ત જે લોકોની પાસે તેમના કપાળ પર દેવની મુદ્રા ન હોય એ લોકોને જ ઈજા કરવાની હતી.
4They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don't have God's seal on their foreheads.
5આ તીડોને લોકોને પાંચ મહિના સુધી પીડા આપવાની શક્તિ આપવામા આવી હતી. પરંતુ તીડોને લોકોને મારી નાખવાની શક્તિ આપવામાં આવી નહોતી. અને પીડા જે લોકોએ અનુભવી તે વીંછુ વ્યક્તિને કરડે અને જે પીડા થાય તેવી હતી.
5They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.
6તે દિવસો દરમિયાન લોકો મરવાનો રસ્તો શોધશે પણ તેઓને તે જડશે નહિ, અને તેઓ મરવાની બહુ ઇચ્છા રાખશે, પણ મરણ તેઓની પાસેથી નાસી જશે.
6In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
7તે તીડો યુધ્ધ માટે તૈયાર કરેલા ઘોડાઓના જેવા હતા. તેઓના માથાં પર તેઓએ સોનાના મુગટો જેવી વસ્તુઓ પહેરી હતી. તેઓના મુખ માણસોના મુખ જેવા હતાં.
7The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people's faces.
8તેઓના કેશ સ્ત્રીઓના કેશ જેવા દેખાતા હતા. તેઓના દાંતો સિંહના દાંતો જેવા હતા.
8They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.
9તેઓની છાતીઓ લોખડનાં બખતર જેવી દેખાતી. તેઓની પાંખોનો અવાજ લડાઈમાં દોડતા ઘણા ઘોડા અને રથોના ગડગડાટ જેવો હતો.
9They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.
10તીડોને વીંછુઓના ડંખ જેવી, ડંખવાળી પૂંછડીઓ હતી, તેઓની પૂંછડીઓમાં પાંચ મહિના સુધી લોકોને પીડા આપવાની શકિત હતી.
10They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months.
11તીડોને તેઓનો એક રાજા છે તે રાજા અસીમ ઊંડાણની ખાઈનો દૂત છે. હિબ્રૂ ભાષામાં તેનુ નામ અબદ્દોનછે, ગ્રીક ભાષામાં તેનું નામ અપોલ્યોન છે.
11They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon," but in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon."
12પ્રથમ મહાન મુસીબત પૂરી થઈ ગઈ છે. હજુ પણ બે મહાન મુસીબતો છે જે આવનાર છે.
12The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.
13તે છઠ્ઠા દૂતે તેનું રણશિંગડુ વગાડ્યું. પછી દેવની આગળની સોનાની વેદીનાં રણશિંગડાંમાંથી મેં એક વાણી સાંભળી.
13The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14તેણે જે છઠ્ઠા દૂતની પાસે રણશિંગડું હતું તેને કહ્યું કે, “મહાનદી યુફ્રેટિસ પર જે ચાર દૂતોને બાંધેલા છે તેઓને છોડી મૂક.”
14saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!"
15આ ચાર દૂતોને આ વર્ષના આ મહિનાના આ દિવસના અને આ કલાક માટે તૈયાર રાખેલા હતા. આ દૂતોને પૃથ્વી પરના ત્રીજા ભાગના લોકોને મારી નાખવા મુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યાં.
15The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.
16મેં સાંભળ્યું હતું તેઓના લશ્કરમાં ઘોડેસવારોની કેટલીક ટુકડીઓ હતી. તેઓ 200,000,000 (વીસ કરોડ) હતા.
16The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them.
17મેં મારા દર્શનમાં ધોડાઓને તથા તેઓ પર બેઠેલા સવારોને જોયા. તેઓ આવા દેખાતા હતા: તેઓના બખતર અગ્નિ જેવાં રાતાં તથા જાંબુડા તથા ગંધક જેવા પીળા હતાં. તે ઘોડાઓના માથાં સિહોંના માથાંઓ જેવા દેખાતાં હતાં. તે ઘોડાઓનાં મોંમાથી અગ્નિ, ધુમાડો તથા ગંધક નીકળતા હતા.
17Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.
18આ ઘોડાઓના મુખમાથી બહાર નીકળતી ત્રણ ખરાબ વસ્તુઓ અગ્નિ, ધુમાડો તથા ગંધકથી પૃથ્વી પરના બધા લોકોના ત્રીજા ભાગને મારી નાખવામાં આવ્યા હતા.
18By these three plagues were one third of mankind killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
19કારણ કે ઘોડાઓનું સાર્મથ્ય તેના મોંઢાંમા અને પૂંછડીઓમાં છે. લોકોને ઇજા કરવા અને કરડવા માટે તેઓને સાપના જેવી પૂંછડીઓ અને પૂંછડીઓને માંથાં હોય છે.
19For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.
20પૃથ્વી પરના બીજા લોકોને આ ખરાબ વસ્તુઓથી મારી નાખવામાં આવ્યાં નહિ. છતાં આ લોકોએ હજુ પણ પસ્તાવો કર્યો નથી. અને તેઓ પોતાના હાથની બનાવેલી કૃતિઓ તરફથી પાછા ફર્યા નહિ. તેઓએ ભૂતોની તથા સોનાચાંદી, પિત્તળ, પથ્થરની મૂર્તિઓ અને લાકડાની વસ્તુઓ જે જોવા કે સાંભળવા કે ચાલવા શક્તિમાન નથી, તેઓની પૂજા કરવાનું બંધ કર્યુ નથી.
20The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn't repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn't worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
21આ લોકોએ પસ્તાવો કર્યો નહિ. તેઓએ બીજા લોકોને મારી નાખવાનું બંધ કર્યુ નથી. તેઓએ તેમની દુષ્ટ જાદુક્રિયા, પોતાના વ્યભિચારનાં પાપો અને પોતાની ચોરીઓ વિષે પસ્તાવો કર્યો નહિ
21They didn't repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
