1હે સૈન્યોનાં યહોવા, તમારું નિવાસસ્થાન કેવું સોહામણું છે!
1For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by the sons of Korah. How lovely are your dwellings, Yahweh of Hosts!
2તમારા આંગણામાં આવવા માટે મારો આત્મા ખૂબ ઉત્સુક છે; જીવતા જાગતા યહોવા દેવ માટે મારું હૃદય તથા મારો દેહ હર્ષનાદ કરશે.
2My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of Yahweh. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3હે સૈન્યોના યહોવા, મારા રાજા તથા મારા દેવ, ચકલીઓને પોતાનું રહેવાનું સ્થાન તથા અબાબીલને પોતાનાં બચ્ચાં રાખવા માળો બાંધવા તમારી વેદીની પાસે જ છે તે સ્થાન મળ્યું છે.
3Yes, the sparrow has found a home, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young, Near your altars, Yahweh of Hosts, my King, and my God.
4તમારા ઘરમાં વસનારાઓને ધન્ય છે; તેઓ સદા તમારા સ્તુતિગીત ગાશે.
4Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. Selah.
5જેઓ યહોવામાં બળવાન, અને જેઓનાં હૃદય તમારા માગોર્ માટે ઉત્સુક છે, તેઓને ધન્ય છે.
5Blessed are those whose strength is in you; Who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
6તેઓ બાકાની ખીણમાંથી યાત્રા કરે છે. જેને દેવે પાણીના ઝરા જેવી બનાવી છે. પાનખર ઋતુંની વર્ષા પાણીનો ઝરો બનાવે છે.
6Passing through the valley of Weeping, they make it a place of springs. Yes, the autumn rain covers it with blessings.
7તેઓ વધારે ને વધારે સાર્મથ્યવાન, થતાઁ આગળ વધે છે; તેઓમાંનો દરેક જણ સિયોનમાં, દેવ સમક્ષ હાજર થાય છે.
7They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion.
8હે સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવા; મારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળો; હે યાકૂબના દેવ, મને ધ્યાનથી સાંભળો.
8Yahweh, God of hosts, hear my prayer. Listen, God of Jacob. Selah.
9હે દેવ, અમારી ઢાલને જુઓ; તમે જેને રાજા તરીકે અભિષિકત કર્યા છે, તેમના પર કૃપાષ્ટિ કરો.
9Behold, God our shield, Look at the face of your anointed.
10કારણ, અન્યસ્થળનાં હજાર દિવસ કરતાં તારા આંગણામાંનો એક દિવસ શ્રેષ્ઠ છે, દુષ્ટોના તંબુમાં રહેવુ તે કરતાં મારા દેવના મંદિરમાં દરવાન થવું, તે મને વધારે પસંદ છે.
10For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11કારણ કે યહોવા દેવ સૂર્ય તથા ઢાલ છે, યહોવા કૃપા તથા ગૌરવ આપશે; ન્યાયથી વર્તનારને માટે તે કંઇ પણ શ્રેષ્ઠ બાબત બાકી રાખશે નહિ.
11For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly.
12હે સૈન્યોના યહોવા, તેને ધન્ય છે; જે રાખે છે ભરોસો તમારા ઉપર.
12Yahweh of Hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in you.
