1હે દેવ તમે અમને સદાને માટે શા માટે તજી દીધા છે? તમે તમારાં ઘેટાનાં ટોળા સામે હજી આજેય ગુસ્સામાં છો?
1A contemplation by Asaph. God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
2હે યહોવા, સ્મરણ કરો; પુરાતન સમયમાં તમે લોકોને પસંદ કરીને ખરીદ્યા. તમે લોકોને બચાવ્યાં અને તેમને તમારા પોતાના બનાવ્યા. સ્મરણ કરો સિયોન પર્વત, જે જગાએ તમે રહો છો.
2Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, Which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Zion, in which you have lived.
3દેવ આવો અને આ પ્રાચીન ખંડેરમાંથી ચાલ્યા આવો. તમારા પવિત્રસ્થાનને શત્રુઓએ કેટલું મોટું નુકશાન કર્યુ છે!
3Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, All the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
4તમે જ્યાં અમારી મુલાકાત લો છો, તે સ્થળમાં શત્રુ ગર્જના કરે છે; પોતાનો વિજય દર્શાવવા તેઓએ પોતાની ધ્વજાઓ ઊભી કરી છે.
4Your adversaries have roared in the midst of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.
5તેઓ જંગલનાં વૃક્ષો પર કુહાડા ઉગામનારાઓના જેવા છે.
5They behaved like men wielding axes, Cutting through a thicket of trees.
6તેઓ તેનું તમામ નકશીદાર કામ કુહાડી-હથોડાથી તોડી નાખે છે.
6Now all its carved work They break down with hatchet and hammers.
7તેઓએ તમારા પવિત્રસ્થાનને આગ લગાડી છે. તેઓએ તમારાં રહેઠાણનો નાશ કર્યો છે.
7They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling-place of your Name.
8તેઓએ તેમને પોતાને કહ્યું હતું: “તેમને પૂરેપૂરા કચડી નાંખીએ.” તેઓએ દેશમાંના દેવના બધાં સભા સ્થાનોને બાળી મૂક્યાં.
8They said in their heart, "We will crush them completely." They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
9અમે તમારા લોકો છીએને દર્શાવતી એક પણ નિશાની બચી નથી, નાશ પામ્યાં છે સર્વ પ્રબોધકો, આ સર્વનો અંત ક્યારે? કોણ કરી શકે?
9We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, Neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
10હે દેવ, ક્યાં સુધી અમારા શત્રુઓ તમારા નામનું અપમાન કરશે? શું તમે તેઓને સદા આમ કરવા દેશો?
10How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
11શા માટે તમે વિલંબ કરો છો? શા માટે તમારા સાર્મથ્યને અટકાવી રાખો છો? હાથ ઉગામીને તેઓ પર તમારો અંતિમ ઘા કરો.
11Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it out of your pocket and consume them!
12પુરાતન કાળથી, દેવ મારા રાજા છે. તે પૃથ્વીના એક છેડાથી બીજા છેડા સુધી લોકોનું તારણ કરે છે.
12Yet God is my King of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth.
13તમે તમારા મહાન પરાક્રમ વડે રાતા સમુદ્રનાં બે ભાગ પાડ્યાં, વળી તમે પાણીમાં મહા મત્સ્યોનાં માથાં ફોડી નાખ્યાઁ.
13You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
14પેલા પ્રચંડ પ્રાણીઓના માથાઓને ટૂકડે ટૂકડા કરીને ભાંગી નાખ્યા અને તેમના શરીરને રણનાં પ્રાણીઓને ખાવા માટે આપી દીધાં.
14You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.
15તમારા લોકોને પાણી પૂરુ પાડવાં, ઝરણાં અને નદીઓ સઘળે વહેવડાવી; નિરંતર વહેતી નદીઓને સૂકવીને તમે સૂકી ભૂમિનો રસ્તો તૈયાર કર્યો .
15You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.
16દિવસ અને રાત બંને તમારા છે, અને તમે જ સૂર્ય અને ચંદ્રનું સર્જન કર્યુ છે.
16The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.
17પૃથ્વીની સીમાઓ, સ્થાપન તમે જ કરી છે; ઉનાળો-શિયાળો ઋતુઓ પણ તમે બનાવી છે.
17You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.
18હે યહોવા, શત્રુઓ તમારી મશ્કરી કરે છે, મૂર્ખ લોકો તમારા નામનો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે, આ વસ્તુઓ યાદ રાખો.
18Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, Yahweh. Foolish people have blasphemed your name.
19હે યહોવા, તમારા હોલાનો જીવ હિંસક પ્રાણીઓનાં હાથમાં જવા દેશો નહિ; તમારા લોકોને ભૂલશો નહિ અને હિંસક પ્રાણીઓથી બચાવો.
19Don't deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don't forget the life of your poor forever.
20હે યહોવા, તમે કરેલો કરારનું સ્મરણ કરો, આ દેશના અંધકારમય ભાગમાં હિંસા વ્યાપક બની છે.
20Honor your covenant, For haunts of violence fill the dark places of the earth.
21હે દેવ, તમારા આ દુ:ખી લોકોનું સતત અપમાન થવા ના દેશો. દરિદ્રીઓ અને લાચારોને તમારું સ્તવન કરવાને કારણ આપો.
21Don't let the oppressed return ashamed. Let the poor and needy praise your name.
22હે દેવ તમે ઉઠો, અને તમારી લડાઇમાં લડો! મૂખોર્ આખો દિવસ તમારું અપમાન કરે છે, તેનું સ્મરણ કરો.
22Arise, God! Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day.
23જેઓ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ થયા છે અને નિત્ય ઊંચાને ઊંચા ચઢે છે તે તમારા શત્રુઓની ધાંધલ અને બરાડાઓને તમે ના વિસરશો.
23Don't forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.
