1દેવ આપણો આશ્રય તથા આપણું સાર્મથ્ય છે; આપણે અનુભવ કર્યો છે કે, સંકટ સમયનાં તેઓ સાથી, ત્વરિત મદદ કરનાર હાજરાહજૂર છે.
1For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
2માટે જ્યારે પૃથ્વી પર ભારે ધરતીકંપ થાય, અને પર્વતો તૂટી ને સમુદ્રમાં પડે, તો પણ આપણે સૌએ ડરવાની જરૂર નથી.
2Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, Though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
3ભલે સમુદ્રનાં પાણી વિશાળકાય મોજાથી ગર્જના કરે, ને પર્વતો ધ્રુજી ઉઠે.
3Though the waters of it roar and are troubled, Though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.
4ત્યાં એક નદી છે અને ઝરણાંઓ છે જે દેવનાં નગર પરાત્પર દેવના પવિત્રસ્થળમાં સુખને વહેતું રાખે છે.
4There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad, The holy place of the tents of the Most High.
5દેવ સ્વયં તે નગરમાં વસે છે. દેવ પરોઢિયે તેની સહાય કરશે, તેથી નગરનું પતન ક્યારેય નહિ થાય.
5God is in her midst. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.
6ભયથી ધ્રુજશે વિદેશીઓ, અને ડગમગી જશે રાજ્યો; જ્યાં યહોવા ગર્જના કરશે એટલે પૃથ્વી ગઇ પીગળી.
6The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved. He lifted his voice, and the earth melted.
7આપણી સાથે આકાશી સૈન્યોના અધિકારી યહોવા છે; આપણો આશ્રય યાકૂબનાં દેવ આપણી રક્ષા કરે છે.
7Yahweh of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8આવો અને યહોવાના પરાક્રમો જુઓ. તેમણે કરેલાં પ્રભાવશાળી કાર્યો જુઓ.
8Come, see Yahweh's works, What desolations he has made in the earth.
9તે પૃથ્વીના છેડાઓ સુધી યુદ્ધોને બંધ કરી દે છે, ધનુષ્યને ભાંગી નાખે છે, ભાલાને કાપી નાખે છે; અને રથોને અગ્નિથી સળગાવી દે છે.
9He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.
10દેવ કહે છે, “લડાઇ બંધ કરો, નિશ્ચૈ જાણો, કે હું દેવ છું, સવેર્ રાષ્ટો મારો આદર કરશે. અને હું પૃથ્વી પર સૌથી મહાન માનવામાં આવીશ.”
10"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth."
11સૈન્યોના યહોવા આપણી સાથે છે, યાકૂબનાં દેવ સદા આપણો બચાવ કરે છે.
11Yahweh of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
