1હે યહોવા, મારી વિરુદ્ધ યુદ્ધ કરનારા સામે તમે યુદ્ધ કરો; મારી ઉપરના તેઓના આક્રમણ સામે તમે યુદ્ધ જાહેર કરો.
1Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.
2તમે ઢાલ અને બખતર ધારણ કરી ઊભા રહો, અને મારું રક્ષણ કરો.
2Take hold of shield and buckler, And stand up for my help.
3ભાલો હાથમાં લઇને મારી પાછળ પડેલાને અટકાવો, મારા આત્માને ખાત્રીથી કહો કે, “તમેજ મારો ઉદ્ધાર કરનાર છો.”
3Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, "I am your salvation."
4જેઓ મારા જીવના તરસ્યા છે તેઓ ફજેત થઇને બદનામ થાઓ; જેઓ મારું નુકશાન ઇચ્છે છે, તેઓ રઝળી પડો અને પાછા હઠો.
4Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.
5તેઓ પવનથી ઊડતાં ભૂંસા જેવા થાય, અને તેમને યહોવાનો દૂત હાંકી કાઢો.
5Let them be as chaff before the wind, Yahweh's angel driving them on.
6હે યહોવા, તેઓનો માર્ગ અંધકારમય ને લપસણો થાઓ; યહોવાનો દૂત તેમની પાછળ પડો.
6Let their way be dark and slippery, Yahweh's angel pursuing them.
7તેઓનું ખરાબ નથી કર્યું છતાં તેઓએ મારા માટે ફાંદો ગોઠવ્યો છે, વગર કારણે જીવ લેવા ખાડો ખોધ્યો છે.
7For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.
8તેમનાં પર અચાનક વિપત્તિ આવી પડો, પોતાના ફાંદામાં તેઓ પોતેજ ફસાઇ જાઓ; પોતાના ખોદેલા ખાડામાં પડી તેઓનો સંહાર થાઓ.
8Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.
9પણ હું યહોવાથી આનંદિત થઇશ, અને તેમનાં તારણમાં સુખી થઇશ.
9My soul shall be joyful in Yahweh. It shall rejoice in his salvation.
10મારું સમગ્ર વ્યકિતત્વ પોકારશે, “હે યહોવા, તમારા જેવું કોણ છે? જે લાચારને બળવાનથી બચાવે છે, અને કંગાલને લૂંટનારાથી છોડાવે છે.”
10All my bones shall say, "Yahweh, who is like you, Who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him, Yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?"
11નિર્દય લોકો જૂઠી સાક્ષી આપે છે, અને જેના વિષે મેં કદી સાંભળ્યંુ નથી તેના માટે મારા પર આરોપ મૂકે છે.
11Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don't know about.
12તેઓ ઉપકારને બદલે અપકાર કરે છે, તેઓ મારા આત્માને રડાવે છે અને દુ:ખી કરે છે.
12They reward me evil for good, To the bereaving of my soul.
13તેઓ જ્યારે બિમાર હતા ત્યારે મેં ઉપવાસ કરીને કંતાનના વસ્રો પહેરીને મારી દિલગીરી બતાવી હતી. તેમનાં માટે પ્રાર્થના કરવાથી મને જે મળ્યું તે શું આ છે?
13But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.
14તે લોકો જાણે મારા ભાઇઓ અને મારા નજીકનાં મિત્રો હોય તેવો વર્તાવ મેં તેમની સાથે રાખ્યો; જેમ કોઇ માણસ તેની માતા જે મૃત્યુ પામી છે તેના માટે શોક કરે તેમ હું તેમના માટે દુ:ખી હતો.
14I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.
15તેઓ ટોળામાં ભેગા થયાં અને મારી પડતી વખતે તેઓ આનંદિત હતાં. તે લોકો સાચા મિત્રો ન હતાં. હું તેમને ઓળખતો પણ ન હતો. પરંતુ તેઓ મને ઘેરી વળ્યા અને મારા પર હુમલો કર્યો અને ચૂપ રહ્યાં નહિ.
15But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn't know it. They tore at me, and didn't cease.
16તેઓએ મારી હાંસી ઉડાવી અને મારી વિરુદ્ધ ખરાબ ભાષા બોલ્યા, તેઓએ મારા તરફ દાંત કચકચાવીને ગુસ્સો વ્યકત કર્યો.
16Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed their teeth at me.
17હે યહોવા, મારા પ્રભુ ક્યાં સુધી શાંત બેસી રહી જોયા કરશો? તેઓના ખૂની હુમલાઓથી મારા પ્રાણને બચાવી લો. મારા મૂલ્યવાન જીવનને આ સિંહોથી બચાવી લો.
17Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, My precious life from the lions.
18હે યહોવા, હું મહામંડળીમાં તમારી આભારસ્તુતિ કરીશ. ઘણા લોકોની સભામાં હું તમારી પ્રસંશા કરીશ.
18I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you among many people.
19મારા જૂઠા શત્રુઓને મારા પર હસવા દેશો નહિ. આ દુશ્મનો જેઓ વિના કારણ મને ધિક્કારે છે તેઓ મારા તરફ આંખ પણ ન મિચકારે.
19Don't let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; Neither let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause.
20કારણ, તેઓ ખરેખર શાંતિની યોજનાઓ કરતાં નથી. ગુપ્ત રીતે તેઓ આ દેશનાં શાંતિપ્રિય લોકોનું અનિષ્ટ કરવાની યોજનાઓ કરે છે.
20For they don't speak peace, But they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.
21તેઓ મોટેથી કહે છે કે, “તેઓએ અયોગ્ય આચરણ કરતાં મને જોયો છે, તેઓ કહે છે, અમે તને અમારી પોતાની આંખે એ પ્રમાણે કરતાં જોયો છે.”
21Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, "Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!"
22હે યહોવા, તમે તેના વિષે બધુંજ જાણો છો, હવે તમે શાંત બેસી રહેશો નહિ; અને મને તરછોડી મારાથી દૂર થશો નહિ.
22You have seen it, Yahweh. Don't keep silent. Lord, don't be far from me.
23હે યહોવા, ઊઠો! મને ન્યાય કરવા જાગૃત થાઓ. મારા દેવ તથા મારા ધણી ઊભા થાઓ અને મારા કિસ્સાનો બચાવ કરો.
23Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!
24હે યહોવા મારા દેવ, તમારા ન્યાયીપણાથી મારો ન્યાય કરો. મારા શત્રુઓને મારા પર હસવા દેશો નહિ.
24Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness; Don't let them gloat over me.
25તેમને એમ કહેવાની તક આપશો નહિ કે, “તેમનાથી વિમુખ થવાની અમારી ઇચ્છા પરિપૂર્ણ થઇ છે અને તેમનો વિનાશ કર્યો છે.”
25Don't let them say in their heart, "Aha! That's the way we want it!" Don't let them say, "We have swallowed him up!"
26મારા નુકસાનમાં આનંદ પામનારાં સવેર્ની ફજેતી થાવ અને તેઓ લજ્જિત થાવ. મારી વિરુદ્ધ બડાઇ કરનારા સઘળા અપમાનિત થઇ અને શરમાઇ જાઓ.
26Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.
27જે લોકો મને નિદોર્ષ ઠરાવવા માંગતા હોય તેઓ હર્ષ મનાવે અને સુખી થાય. તેઓ હંમેશા કહો કે, “યહોવા મહાન છે! તેમના સેવકો સુખી થાય અને શાંતિ પામે તેવું તે ઇચ્છે છે.”
27Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, "Yahweh be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!"
28મારી જીભ આખો દિવસ તમારા ન્યાયીપણા વાતો કરશે અને તમારી પ્રસંશાની સ્તુતિ ગાશે.
28My tongue shall talk about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.
