1જેના દોષને માફી મળી છે, તથા જેનું પાપ ઢંકાઇ ગયું છે તેને ધન્ય છે અને તે જ સુખી છે.
1By David. A contemplative psalm. Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.
2જેને યહોવા દોષિત ગણતા નથી, અને જેના આત્મામાં કંઇ કપટ નથી તે માણસ આશીર્વાદિત છે.
2Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn't impute iniquity, In whose spirit there is no deceit.
3હું ભયંકર પાપી છું તેનો હું સ્વીકાર કરતો ન હતો, તે દિવસથી મારી વ્યથા વધી ગઇ અને મારા હાડકાં ર્જીણ થઇ ગયા.
3When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4આખો દિવસ અને આખી રાત, તમારો ભારે હાથ મારા પર હતો. જેમ ઉનાળાની ગરમીમાં જળ સુકાઇ જાય તેમ મારી શકિત હણાઇ ગઇ હતી.
4For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah.
5પણ મેં મારા બધાં પાપો તમારી સમક્ષ કબૂલ કરવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો. મે મારા પાપોને છુપાવવાનું બંધ કર્યુ. મે પોતાને કહ્યું, “હું મારા પાપો યહોવા સમક્ષ કબૂલ કરીશ.” અને તમે મારા પાપો બદલ મને ક્ષમા આપી.
5I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn't hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, And you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6તેથી જ્યારે દેવનાં અનુયાયીઓને તેમનાં પાપનું ભાન થાય, ત્યારે તેઓ પ્રાર્થના કરીને તેમનાં પાપની કબૂલાત કરશે. અને જો પ્રચંડ પૂરની જેમ મુશ્કેલીઓ આવશે તો પણ તે તેઓ સુધી પહોંચી શકશે નહિ.
6For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
7જીવનનાં સર્વ સંકટોમાં તમે મારી છુપાવવાની જગા છો, તમે મને સંકટોમાં ઉગારી લો છો; મારી આસપાસ તમારા ઉધ્ધારનાં સ્તોત્રો ગવડાવશો.
7You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
8યહોવા કહે છે, “જીવનનાં પ્રત્યેક તબક્કે તારે ક્યાં માગેર્ ચાલવું તે હું તને બતાવીશ, હું તારો સતત ખ્યાલ રાખીને હું તને હંમેશા સાચો બોધ આપીશ.
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
9ધોડા તથા ખચ્ચર જેને કંઇ સમજ નથી તેને કાબૂમાં રાખવા માટે લગામની જરૂર છે. તું તેમનાં જેવો અણસમજુ થઇશ નહિ.”
9Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, Whose are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
10દુષ્ટ લોકોને ઘણી તકલીફો સહન કરવી પડે છે; પણ જેઓ દેવમાં વિશ્વાસ કરે છે, તેઓ તો યહોવાની કૃપાથી ધેરાયેલાં રહેશે.
10Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, But he who trusts in Yahweh, loving kindness shall surround him.
11હે સદાચારી લોકો, યહોવાથી આનંદીત થાઓ અને પ્રસન્ન થાઓ . હે શુદ્ધ હૃદયી માણસો, હર્ષના પોકાર કરો.
11Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
