1હે યહોવા, હું તમારી સ્તુતિ કરીશ, કારણ તમે મને મુશ્કેલીઓમાંથી બહાર કાઢયો છે. તમે મારા શત્રુઓને વિજયનો આનંદ લેવા દીધો નથી.
1A Psalm. A Song for the Dedication of the Temple. By David. I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, And have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2હે યહોવા, મારા દેવ, મેં તમને અરજ કરી, અને તમે મને સાજો કર્યો છે.
2Yahweh my God, I cried to you, And you have healed me.
3હે યહોવા, તમે મને શેઓલમાંથી પાછો કાઢી જીવતો રાખ્યો છે, તમે મને કબરમાં પડવા દીધો નથી.
3Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4હે દેવના વિશ્વાસુ અનુયાયીઓ, તમે સૌ તેમની સ્તુતિ ગાઓ. અને તેમના પવિત્ર નામની આભાર સ્તુતિ ગાઓ.
4Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name.
5તેમનો કોપ તો કેવળ ક્ષણિક છે, પણ તેમની કૃપા “જીવન”ભર માટે છે. રૂદન ભલે આખી રાત રહે, પણ સવારમાં હર્ષાનંદ થાય છે.
5For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, But joy comes in the morning.
6હું જ્યારે નિર્ભય અને સુરક્ષિત હતો, ત્યારે મેં કહ્યું હતું, “હું ડગીશ નહિ.” હું સમજતો હતો કે આ સ્થિતિ સદાય રહેશે.
6As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved."
7હે યહોવા, તમે મારા પર કૃપા કરી મને પર્વતની જેમ સ્થિર બનાવ્યો છે, પણ પછી મારાથી મુખ આડુ ફેરવીને તમે મને ભયભીત કર્યો છે.
7You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain to stand strong. But when you hid your face, I was troubled.
8હે યહોવા, મેં તમને પોકાર કર્યો અને મેં તમને વિનંતી કરી.
8I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication:
9“હે યહોવા, હું મરી જઇશ તો તમારું શું સારું થશે? મારી કબરની ધૂળ તમારી સ્તુતિ કરી શકશે? શું તે તમારી વિશ્વસનીયતા વિષે કહી શકશે?
9"What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?
10હે યહોવા, મારા પર દયા કરો, મારી અરજીને સંભળો મને સહાય કરો.”
10Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper."
11પછી તમે મારા દુ:ખનું સુખ કર્યુ, અને રૂદનને બદલે નૃત્યુ આપ્યું; મારા શોકના વસ્ત્રો ઉતારી લીધા અને મને ઉત્સાહથી ઢાંકી દીધો.
11You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,
12કબરમાં શાંત પડી રહેવાને બદલે, હું આનંદપૂર્વક યહોવાની સ્તુતિ કરીશ; હે યહોવા, મારા દેવ, હું સદાય તમારી આભારસ્તુતિ કરીશ.
12To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
