પાસ્ખા અને બેખમીર રોટલીના પર્વનાફક્ત બે દિવસ પહેલાનો વખત હતો, મુખ્ય યાજકો અને શાસ્ત્રીઓ ઈસુને પકડવા માટે કઈક જૂઠાણાંનો ઉપયોગ કરવાનો રસ્તો શોધવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરતાં હતા. પછી તેઓ તેને મારી શકે.

It was now two days before the feast of the Passover and the unleavened bread, and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might sieze him by deception, and kill him.
