1હું એક એવો માણસ છું જેણે યહોવાના રોષના દંડાનો માર અનુભવ્યો છે.
1I am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
2હું એ માણસ જેવો છું જેને અંધારા રસ્તા પર દીવા વગર ચાલવા માટે ફરજ પડાઇ છે.
2He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
3ફકત મારી વિરૂદ્ધ જ તે ફરી ફરીને આખો વખત પોતાનો હાથ ધૂમાવ્યા કરે છે.
3Surely against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.
4તેણે મારી ચરબી અને ચામડીને નુકશાન પહોંચાડ્યું છે. તેણે મારા હાડકાં ભાંગી નાખ્યા છે.
4My flesh and my skin has he made old; he has broken my bones.
5દુ:ખ અને સંતાપની કોટડીમાં પૂરી તેણે મને કેવો રૂંધી નાખ્યો છે!
5He has built against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.
6મરી ગયેલા માણસની જેમ. તેણે મને કયારનોય અંધકારમાં પૂરી રાખ્યો છે.
6He has made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
7હું ક્યાંય છટકી ન જઇ શકું; તેથી તેણે મારી આસપાસ કોટ ચણી લીધો છે. અને તેણે ભારે સાંકળોથી મને પકડી લીધો છે.
7He has walled me about, that I can't go forth; he has made my chain heavy.
8જ્યારે હું પોકાર કરીને સહાય માંગુ છું, ત્યારે મારી તે પ્રાર્થના પાછી વાળે છે.
8Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
9તેણે ઘડેલા પથ્થરોથી મારા માગોર્ને બંધ કર્યા છે અને તેણે તેને વાંકાચૂંકા ભૂલભૂલા મણીભર્યા કર્યા છે.
9He has walled up my ways with hewn stone; he has made my paths crooked.
10તે રીંછની જેમ મારી વાટ જોતો પડ્યો રહે છે, સિંહની જેમ મને પકડવા સંતાઇ રહે છે.
10He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places.
11મેં લીધેલા માર્ગથી તેણે મને બહાર ખેંચી કાઢયો છે. તેણે મારા ટૂકડે-ટૂકડા કરીને મને ત્યાં પડ્યો રહેવા દીધો છે.
11He has turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he has made me desolate.
12તેણે ધનુષ્ય પર બાણ ચઢાવ્યું છે અને તેને મારી સામે તાક્યું છે.
12He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13તેણે પોતાના જ ભાથાનાં બાણોથી. મારા મર્મસ્થાનો, ભેદી નાખ્યાં છે.
13He has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my reins.
14હું મારા લોકો સમક્ષ હાંસીપાત્ર થયો છું; અને તેઓ આખો દિવસ મને ચીડવતા ગીતો ગાય છે.
14I am become a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.
15તેણે મારા જીવનને કડવાશથી ભરી દીધુ છે. તેણે મને કટુઝેરથી ભરી દીધો છે.
15He has filled me with bitterness, he has sated me with wormwood.
16વળી તેણે મારા દાંત કાંકરાથી ભાંગી નાખ્યા છે, તેણે મને રાખમાં રગદોળી દીધો છે.
16He has also broken my teeth with gravel stones; he has covered me with ashes.
17મારા હૃદયની શાંતિ હરાઇ ગઇ છે, સુંદર જીવન હોવું એ શુ છે તે હું ભૂલી ગયો છું.
17You have removed my soul far off from peace; I forgot prosperity.
18હું કહું છુ કે, મારી શકિત ખૂટી ગઇ છે અને યહોવા તરફની મારી આશા નષ્ટ થઇ છે.
18I said, My strength is perished, and my expectation from Yahweh.
19યાદ કર કે, હું તો માત્ર ગરીબ શરણાથીર્ છું, અને હું દિવસે દિવસે કડવા અનુભવમાંથી પસાર થાઉં છું.
19Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
20નિરંતર મારું ચિત્ત તેનો જ વિચાર કર્યા કરે છે; અને હું નાહિમ્મત થઇ જાઉં છું.
20My soul still remembers them, and is bowed down within me.
21એ હું મનમાં લાવું છું અને તેથી જ હું આશા રાખું છું.
21This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope.
22યહોવાની કરૂણા, ખૂટી પરવારી નથી તેમ જ તેની દયાનો પણ અંત આવ્યો નથી.
22It is of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail.
23દરરોજ સવારે તારી કૃપાઓ નવેસરથી મને મળે છે, માણસ તારી પર હંમેશા નિર્ભર રહી શકે.
23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
24મેં કહ્યું, “મારી પાસે જે કંઇ છે તે યહોવા છે. તેથી હું તેનામાં મારી આશા મૂકું છું.
24Yahweh is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25જે તેનામાં વિશ્વાસ રાખે છે અને જેઓ તેની વાટ જોવાનું ચાલુ રાખે છે. તેમના માટે યહોવા સારો છે.
25Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
26ચૂપ રહેવું અને યહોવા તમને બચાવે તેની રાહ જોવી તે સારું છે.
26It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh.
27હજુ યુવાન હોય તે દરમ્યાન તે વ્યકિત દુ:ખની ઝૂંસરી ઉપાડે એમાંજ એનું કલ્યાણ છે.
27It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
28જ્યારે યહોવા તેના પર ઝૂંસરી મૂકે છે, તેથી તેણે એકલા શાંત બેસવું જોઇએ.
28Let him sit alone and keep silence, because he has laid it on him.
29ભલે તે તેનો ચહેરો ધૂળમાં ઘાલે, ત્યાં હજી પણ કદાચ આશા હશે.
29Let him put his mouth in the dust, if so be there may be hope.
30જે તેને મારે છે તેના ભણી પોતાનો ગાલ ધરે; અને બધા અપમાન વેઠી લો.
30Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled full with reproach.
31યહોવા આપણને કદી પણ નકારશે નહિ.
31For the Lord will not cast off forever.
32કારણ, તે સજા કરે છે અને દુ:ખ દે છે; છતાં તે કરૂણાસાગર હોઇ દયા રાખે છે.
32For though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
33તે રાજીખુશીથી કોઇને પણ દુ:ખ દેતો નથી, અને તેમને દુ:ખ આપીને તે ખુશ થતો નથી.
33For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.
34જ્યારે પણ પૃથ્વી પરના કેદીને સિતમગાર દ્વારા કચડી નાંખવામાં આવે છે ત્યારે,
34To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,
35જ્યારે પણ કોઇનો હક્ક પડાવી લેવામાં આવે છે, ‘પરમ ઉચ્ચની હાજરીમાં ત્યારે’.
35To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the Most High,
36જ્યારે પણ ન્યાય થતો નથી, યહોવાને તે મંજૂર નથી.
36To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord doesn't approve.
37યહોવાની આજ્ઞા વિના કોનું ધાર્યું થાય છે?
37Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn't command it?
38પરાત્પર દેવની આજ્ઞાથી જ સુખ અને દુ:ખ બન્ને ઉત્પન્ન થાય છે.
38Doesn't evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
39પાપની સજા સામે કોઇ માણસે શા માટે ફરિયાદ કરવી જોઇએ?
39Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
40આપણી રીતભાત તપાસીએ અને કસોટી કરીએ અને આપણે યહોવા તરફ પાછા ફરીએ.
40Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.
41આપણે બે હાથ જોડીને સાચા હૃદયથી. સ્વર્ગમાં વસતા દેવને પ્રાર્થના કરીએ.
41Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
42અમે બળવો કરીને અપરાધ કર્યો છે; અને તમે અમને માફ કર્યા નથી.
42We have transgressed and have rebelled; you have not pardoned.
43રોષે ભરાઇને તમે અમારો પીછો કર્યો છે અને નિર્દયી રીતે અમારો વધ કર્યો છે.
43You have covered with anger and pursued us; you have killed, you have not pitied.
44તમે રોષના વાદળ પાછળ છુપાઇ ગયા છો; જેથી અમારી પ્રાર્થના તમને ભેદીને પહોંચી શકે નહિ.
44You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
45તમે અમને પ્રજાઓની વચમાં. કચરા અને ઉકરડા જેવા બનાવી મૂક્યા છે.
45You have made us an off-scouring and refuse in the midst of the peoples.
46અમારી વિરુદ્ધ મુખ ઉઘાડીને અમારા સર્વ શત્રુઓએ અમારી હાંસી કરી છે.
46All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
47અમે ભયભીત થયા છીએ, જાણે અમે ખાડામાં પડી ગયા હોઇએ એવું લાગે છે. અમે એકલા છીએ અને ભાંગી પડ્યા છીએ.
47Fear and the pit are come on us, devastation and destruction.
48મારા લોકોનો વિનાશ જોઇને મારી આંખોમાંથી આંસુની નદીઓ વહે છે.
48My eye runs down with streams of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49યહોવા આકાશમાંથી દ્રષ્ટિ કરીને જુએ ત્યાં સુધી.
49My eye pours down, and doesn't cease, without any intermission,
50નિરંતર મારી આંખમાંથી આંસુઓ વહે છે.
50Until Yahweh look down, and see from heaven.
51મારી નગરીની સર્વ કુમારીકાઓની દશા જોઇને મારી આંખો સૂજી ગઇ છે.
51My eye affects my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.
52તેઓ કારણ વિના મારા શત્રુ થયા છે અને તેમણે પંખીની જેમ મારો શિકાર કર્યો છે.
52They have chased me sore like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
53તેઓએ મને જીવતો ખાડામાં નાખ્યો છે અને તેમણે મારા પર પથ્થર ઢાંક્યો છે.
53They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.
54મારા માથા પર પાણી ફરી વળ્યાં અને હું બોલી ઉઠયો કે “હું મરી ગયો છુું.”
54Waters flowed over my head; I said, I am cut off.
55હે યહોવા, કારાગૃહના નીચલા ભોંયરામાંથી. મેં તમારા નામનો પોકાર કર્યો.
55I called on your name, Yahweh, out of the lowest dungeon.
56હું મદદ માટે ઘા નાખું છું અને મારી અરજ સાંભળીને તમે તમારો કાન બંધ ન કરશો.
56You heard my voice; don't hide your ear at my breathing, at my cry.
57તમે ચોક્કસ મારી હાંક સાંભળીને આવ્યા, અને કહ્યું પણ ખરુ કે,”ડરીશ નહિ.”
57You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, Don't be afraid.
58હે યહોવા! તમે અમારો બચાવ કર્યો છે અને મારું જીવન બચાવ્યું છે.
58Lord, you have pleaded the causes of my soul; you have redeemed my life.
59હે યહોવા, તમે મને થયેલા અન્યાય જોયા છે. તમે મારો ન્યાય કરો.
59Yahweh, you have seen my wrong; judge you my cause.
60મારા પ્રત્યેની તેમની વેરવૃત્તિ, અને મારી વિરુદ્ધના સર્વ કાવાદાવા તમે જોયા છે.
60You have seen all their vengeance and all their devices against me.
61હે યહોવા, તેઓએ કરેલી મારી નિંદા તથા તેઓએ મારી વિરૂદ્ધ કરેલા સર્વ કાવતરા તેં સાંભળ્યાં છે.
61You have heard their reproach, Yahweh, and all their devices against me,
62મારા વિરોધીઓ આખો દિવસ બખાળા કાઢે છે. તમે તેમના કાવાદાવા જાણો છો.
62The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.
63પછી ભલે તેઓ બેઠા હોય કે ઉભા હોય, હું તો તેમની ઠઠ્ઠા મશ્કરીનું ધ્યેય બની ગયો છુ.
63See you their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their song.
64હે યહોવા, તમે તેમના હાથની કરણી પ્રમાણે તેઓને, બદલો આપજો.
64You will render to them a recompense, Yahweh, according to the work of their hands.
65તમે તેઓની બુદ્ધિ જડ બનાવી દેજો અને તેમના પર શાપ વરસાવજો.
65You will give them hardness of heart, your curse to them.
66ક્રોધે ભરાઇને પીછો પકડીને તમે તેમનો નાશ કરજો અને હે યહોવા! તમે તેમનો પૃથ્વી પરથી સંહાર કરજો.
66You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of Yahweh.
