પરંતુ યહોશુઆએ લોકોને જણાવ્યું, “તમાંરાથી યહોવાની સેવા થઈ શકે નહિ, કારણ, એ પવિત્ર દેવ છે. એકનિષ્ઠા માંગનાર દેવ છે. અને એ તમાંરાં ઉલ્લંઘનો કે પાપો માંફ નહિ કરે.

Joshua said to the people, You can't serve Yahweh; for he is a holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.
