ઈસુએ કેટલાક દોરડાંના ટુકડાઓ વડે કોરડો બનાવ્યો. પછી ઈસુએ આ બધા માણસોને, ઘેટાંઓને, અને ઢોરોને મંદિર છોડી જવા દબાણ કર્યુ. ઈસુએ બાજઠો ઊધાં પાડ્યા અને લોકોનાં વિનિમયનાં નાણાં વેરી નાખ્યાં.

He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers' money, and overthrew their tables.
