બાબિલનો રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર જે દેશો પર રાજ્ય કરતો હતો તે સર્વ સૈન્યો સાથે ચઢી આવ્યો અને યરૂશાલેમ તથા યહૂદિયાના નગરો સાથે યુદ્ધ કર્યું. તે સમયે યમિર્યા પાસે યહોવાનો આ સંદેશો આવ્યો:
