તેની પ્રજાનું ધ્યાન રાખવાની જેમની ફરજ હતી તે ઘેટાંપાળકો માટે યહોવા આમ કહે છે, એ તમે છો જેણે મારા ટોળાને વિખેરીને ભગાડી મૂક્યાં છે, તમે ક્યારેય તેમની પર ધ્યાન નથી આપ્યું, હવે હું તમે કરેલા દુષ્કૃત્યો માટે તમને સજા કરીશ એવું યહોવા કહે છે.

Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh.
