1હે સિયોન, જાગૃત થા, જાગૃત થા, તારા સાર્મથ્યથી; હે યરૂશાલેમ, પવિત્ર નગર, તારાં સુંદર વસ્ત્રો તું પહેર; કારણ કે હવે જે લોકોએ દેવ તરફ પૂંઠ ફેરવી છે, તે પાપીઓ તારા દરવાજાઓમાં પ્રવેશી શકશે નહિ.
1Awake, awake, put on your strength, Zion; put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean.
2હે યરૂશાલેમ નગરી, ઉભી થા અને તારા પરની ધૂળ ખંખેરી નાખ, હે સિયોનની બંદીવાન પુત્રી, તારી ડોક પરની ગુલામીની ઝૂંસરી કાઢી નાખ.
2Shake yourself from the dust; arise, sit on your throne, Jerusalem: loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion.
3કારણ કે યહોવા કહે છે કે, “તમે વિના મૂલ્ય વેચાયા હતા, અને નાણા વિના તમે પાછા લેવાશો.”
3For thus says Yahweh, You were sold for nothing; and you shall be redeemed without money.
4કારણ કે યહોવા જે દેવ છે તેણે કહ્યું, આરંભમાં તમે વસવાટ કરવા માટે મિસર ગયા હતા, પછી આશ્શૂરના લોકોએ તમારા ઉપર વિના કારણ જુલમ કર્યો. “
4For thus says the Lord Yahweh, My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there: and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause.
5અને હવે યહોવા પૂછે છે, “અત્યારે હું અહીં શું જોઉં છું? તમને વિના મૂલ્યે ગુલામ બનાવવામાં આવ્યા છે, તમારા પર શાસન ચલાવનારાઓ ઊંચા સ્વરે બોલે છે અને દિનપ્રતિદિન મારા નામની સતત નિંદા કરે છે.”
5Now therefore, what do I here, says Yahweh, seeing that my people is taken away for nothing? those who rule over them do howl, says Yahweh, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.
6“પણ એવો દિવસ આવે છે; જ્યારે તમને મારા નામના પરચાની ખબર પડશે અને તેઓને ખાતરી થશે કે તમારી સાથે બોલનાર હું જ છું.”
6Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he who does speak; behold, it is I.
7સુખશાંતિના સંદેશ લાવનારના પગલાં પર્વતો પર કેવાં શોભાયમાન લાગે છે! તે તારણના શુભ સમાચાર આપે છે અને વિજયની ઘોષણા કરે છે, “તમારા દેવ શાસન કરે છે, એમ તે સિયોન પાસે જાહેર કરે છે.”
7How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns!
8નગરના ચોકીદારો ઉંચે સાદે એકી સાથે હર્ષનાદ કરે છે. કારણ, તેઓ યહોવાને સિયોનમાં પાછો આવતો નજરો નજર નિહાળે છે.
8The voice of your watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when Yahweh returns to Zion.
9હે યરૂશાલેમનાં ખંડેરો, તમે એકી સાથે પોકાર કરો, હર્ષનાદ કરો! કારણ, યહોવા પોતાના લોકોને સુખના દહાડા બતાવશે અને યરૂશાલેમને મુકિત અપાવશે. “તમારા દેવ શાસન કરે છે” એમ તે સિયોન પાસે જાહેર કરે છે.
9Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for Yahweh has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.
10સર્વ પ્રજાઓનાં દેખતાં યહોવાએ પોતાનો પવિત્ર ભુજ લંબાવ્યો છે, પૃથ્વી પરની દરેક વ્યકિત આપણા દેવનું તારણ જોશે.
10Yahweh has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
11બહાર નીકળો, બાબિલમાંથી બહાર આવો! કોઇ અશુદ્ધ વસ્તુને અડકશો નહિ. હે મંદિરની સાધનસામગ્રી ઉપાડનારાઓ, તમારી જાતને શુદ્ધ રાખો!
11Depart you , depart you , go you out from there, touch no unclean thing; go you out of the midst of her; cleanse yourselves, you who bear the vessels of Yahweh.
12તમારે ઉતાવળા થઇને નાસી જવાનું નથી અને પોતાનો જીવ બચાવવા અધીરા થવાનું નથી; કારણ કે યહોવા તમારી આગળ છે. ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ તમારું રક્ષણ કરશે.
12For you shall not go out in haste, neither shall you go by flight: for Yahweh will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rearward.
13“જુઓ, મારો સેવક સમૃદ્ધ થશે; તેને ઊંચેને ઊંચે ચડાવવામાં આવશે, તેની ખૂબ ઉન્નતિ થશે.
13Behold, my servant shall deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
14પહેલાં તેને જોઇને ઘણા હેબતાઇ ગયા હતા; એનું રૂપ એવું તો વિરૂપ થઇ ગયું હતું કે જાણે માણસ જ ન લાગે.
14Like as many were astonished at you (his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),
15પરંતુ હવે અનેક પ્રજાઓ તેને જોઇને આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઇ જશે. અને રાજાઓ આશ્ચર્ય પામીને સ્તબ્ધ થઇ જશે. કારણ કે અગાઉ કોઇએ કહ્યું ના હોય એવું તેઓ જોશે, અને પહેલાં કદી સાંભળ્યું ન હોય એવું નજરે ભાળશે.”
15so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they understand.
