1હે ઇસ્રાએલના લોકો, તમારા યહોવા દેવ પાસે પાછા આવો, તમારા દુષ્કૃત્યોને લીધે તમે ઠોકર ખાઇને પછડાયા છો.
1Israel, return to Yahweh your God; For you have fallen because of your sin.
2તમારી વિનંતી રજૂ કરો. યહોવા પાસે આવો અને કહો:“હે યહોવા, અમારાં પાપો દૂર કરીને અમારામાંનું સારું હોય, તેનો સ્વીકાર કરો. અમે તમને સ્તુતિઓ અપીર્શું.
2Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, "Forgive all our sins, And accept that which is good: So we offer like bulls our lips.
3આશ્શૂર અમને બચાવી શકશે નહિ; હવે અમે કદી યુદ્ધના ઘોડાને ભરોસે રહીશું નહિ, અને હવે અમે કદી હાથે ઘડેલી મૂર્તિને અમારો દેવ કહીશું નહિ’ તમે જ અનાથના નાથ છો.
3Assyria can't save us. We won't ride on horses; Neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, 'Our gods!' For in you the fatherless finds mercy."
4યહોવા કહે છે, “હું મારા લોકોના વિશ્વાસઘાતનો રસ્તો કરીશ. હું ઉદારતાથી અને છૂટથી તેમના પર પ્રેમ રાખીશ. કારણકે હું તેમના પર રોષે નથી.
4"I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; For my anger is turned away from him.
5હું ઇસ્રાએલને માટે ઝાકળ જેવો થઇશ; તે કમળની જેમ ખીલશે, લબાનોનનાં વૃક્ષોની જેમ તેના મૂળ હજુ ઊંડા જશે,
5I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, And send down his roots like Lebanon.
6તેને નવા ફણગાં ફૂટશે, અને તેની ડાળીઓ ફેલાઇ જશે, તેનો દેખાવ એક સુંદર જૈંતવૃક્ષ જેવો હશે અને લબાનોનના ગંધતરુઁઓ જેવી તેની સુવાસ હશે.
6His branches will spread, And his beauty will be like the olive tree, And his fragrance like Lebanon.
7ફરી તેઓ મારા છાયડામાં વાસો કરશે; તેઓ બગીચાની જેમ ફૂલશે ફાલશે, દ્રાક્ષાવાડીની જેમ વધશે; તેઓની સુગંધ લબાનોનના દ્રાક્ષારસ જેવી થશે.
7Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, And blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.
8હે ઇસ્રાએલ, તારે મૂર્તિઓ સાથે કઇં કરવાનું નહિ રહે. હું એ છું જે તમારી પ્રાર્થનાઓનો ઉત્તર આપુ છું. અને હું તમારી સંભાળ રાખુ છું. તમારી સારસંભાળ રાખું છું. હું સદા લીલાછમ રહેતા વૃક્ષ જેવો છું. મારી પાસેથી જ તમને ફળ મળે છે.”
8Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; From me your fruit is found."
9સમજુ ડાહ્યો હોય તે આ બાબતોને સમજે, બુદ્ધિશાળી વ્યકિત તે સાંભળે, જેનામાં સમજણ હોય તે, એનો અર્થ હૈયામાં રાખે, કારણકે યહોવાના રસ્તાઓ સત્ય અને ન્યાયી છે, અને સારો માણસ તેના ઉપર ચાલે છે, પણ પાપી માણસો ઠોકર ખાઇને પછડાય છે. 
9Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, And the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.
