એ દેશમાં પહેલાં ઇબ્રાહિમના સમયમાં દુકાળ પડયો હતો, તે સિવાય આ બીજો દુકાળ પડયો. તેથી ઇસહાક ગેરાર નગરના પલિસ્તીઓના રાજા અબીમેલેખ પાસે ગયો.
