તેની પત્નીને બાળકો થતાં ન હતા. આથી ઇસહાકે તેના માંટે યહોવાને પ્રાર્થના કરી. યહોવાએ ઇસહાકની પ્રાર્થના સાંભળી અને માંન્ય રાખી અને રિબકા ગર્ભવતી થઇ.
