પવિત્ર શાસ્ત્રમાં લખ્યું છે:“સ્ત્રી કે જે બાળકોને જન્મ નથી આપી શક્તી, તે તું આનંદ કર. તેં કદી જન્મ આપ્યો નથી. આનંદથી પોકાર અને હર્ષનાદ કર! પ્રસુતિની પીડાનો તેં કદી અનુભવ કર્યો નથી. સ્ત્રી જે એકલી મુકાયેલી છે તેને વધુ બાળકો હશે જે સ્ત્રીને પતિ છે તેના કરતાં પણ વધારે.” યશાયા 54:1

For it is written, "Rejoice, you barren who don't bear. Break forth and shout, you that don't travail. For more are the children of the desolate than of her who has a husband."
