1ઇરાનના રાજા કોરેશના અમલ દરમ્યાન પહેલા વષેર્ યહોવાએ યમિર્યા દ્વારા આપેલું વચન પૂરું કરવા માટે ઇરાનના રાજા કોરેશને પ્રેરણા કરી કે, તેણે પોતાના આખા રાજ્યમાં લેખિત ઢંઢેરો પિટાવવો;
1Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of Yahweh by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,
2“ઇરાનના રાજા કોરેશ જાહેર કરે છે કે:આકાશના દેવ યહોવાએ મને પૃથ્વી પરનાં બધાં રાજ્યો આપ્યાં છે, અને તેણે પોતે મને તેને માટે યહૂદામાં આવેલ યરૂશાલેમમાં મંદિર બંધાવવાની જવાબદારી સોંપી છે.
2Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth has Yahweh, the God of heaven, given me; and he has charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3તેથી યરૂશાલેમમાં આવેલા ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવાનું મંદિર ફરીથી બાંધવા માટે રાજ્યમાંના કોઇ પણ યહૂદામાં આવેલા યરૂશાલેમમાં જઇ શકશે. તેનો દેવ તેની સાથે રહ્યો. યરૂશાલેમમાં એ જ દેવની પૂજા થાય છે.
3Whoever there is among you of all his people, his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of Yahweh, the God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.
4એટલા માટે કોઇ પણ જગ્યાએ જ્યાં એમાંનો કોઇ બાકી રહેલો હોય તો તેની જગ્યાના લોકો તેને યરૂશાલેમનાં મંદિરનાં બાંધકામ માટે યથાશકિત સોના, ચાંદી, સામાન, પશુઓ અને અર્પણ આપીને મદદ કરે.”
4Whoever is left, in any place where he sojourns, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill-offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.
5તેથી યહૂદા અને બિન્યામીનના કુળસમૂહોના બધાં આગેવાનો, યાજકો, લેવીઓ અને યહોવા દ્વારા પ્રેરાયેલાઓ યરૂશાલેમમાં યહોવાનું મંદિર બાંધવા જવા તૈયાર થયા.
5Then rose up the heads of fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up to build the house of Yahweh which is in Jerusalem.
6તેમના આજુબાજુના પાડોશીઓએ તેમને આ બધાં અર્પણ ઉપરાંત સોનાચાંદીનાં પાત્રો, સામાન, ઢોરઢાંખર તથા કિંમતી ભેટ આપી.
6All those who were round about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with animals, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.
7વળી રાજા કોરેશે પણ તેમને યહોવાના મંદિરમાંથી વસ્તુઓ આપી. આ વસ્તુઓ નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર રાજાએ યરૂશાલેમના યહોવાના મંદિરમાંથી લઇ જઇને પોતાના દેવોના મંદિરમાં મૂકી હતી.
7Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of Yahweh, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put in the house of his gods;
8તદુપરાંત ઇરાનના કોરેશ રાજાએ ખજાનચી મિથદાથ પાસે તે વસ્તુઓને લાવ્યો અને તેણે આ વસ્તુઓ યહૂદાના આગેવાન શેશ્બાસ્સારને સોંપી દીધી.
8even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
9આ તે બધી વસ્તુઓ છે જે કોરેશ રાજા યહોવાના મંદિરમાંથી બહાર લાવ્યો હતો: 30 સોનાની થાળીઓ,1,000 ચાંદીની થાળીઓ અને 29 બીજા વાસણો,
9This is the number of them: thirty platters of gold, one thousand platters of silver, twenty-nine knives,
10ત્રીસ સોનાના કટોરા, 410 ચાંદીના જુદા જુદા પ્રકારના પ્યાલાઓ, 1,000 અન્ય ચીજ વસ્તુઓ,
10thirty bowls of gold, silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels one thousand.
11સોનાચાંદીનાં સર્વ પાત્રો મળીને 5,400 હતાં, જ્યારે બંદીવાનો બાબિલથી યરૂશાલેમ આવ્યા, ત્યારે આ બધાં પાત્રો શેસ્બાસ્સાર પોતે પોતાની સાથે લાવ્યો.
11All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when they of the captivity were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
