ખ્રિસ્ત મૃત્યુ પામ્યો કે જેથી તે પોતાની જાતને પૂર્ણ મહિમાવંત નવવધૂની જેમ મંડળીને અર્પણ કરી શકે. તે મૃત્યુ પામ્યો કે જેથી મંડળી કોઈ પણ ઉણપ, પાપ વગરની શુદ્ધ બને કે જેમાં બીજું કોઈ પણ ખોટું તેની સાથે હોય નહિ કે અનાચારી વસ્તુ ન હોય.
World English Bible
that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
