“કુદરતી રીતે મૃત્યુ પામેલ કોઈ પણ પશુપંખીનું માંસ તમાંરે ખાવું નહિ. તમાંરા ગામમાં રહેતા વિદેશીઓને ખાવા માંટે આપવું હોય તો આપવું. ભલે તે લોકો તેનો આહાર કરતાં અથવા કોઈ વિદેશીને તે વેચી શકો છો. કારણ કે તમે તો તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાની પસંદગી પામેલ છો, તમે તેમની પવિત્ર પ્રજા છો અને વળી લવારાને તમાંરે તેની માંતાના દૂધમાં ઉઢાળવું અથવા રૌંધવું નહિ.
World English Bible
You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself: you may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner: for you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
