જાઓ અને મારા અને લોકોના વતી આ જે પોથી મળી આવી છે તેમાંનાં વચનો વિષે યહોવાને પ્રશ્ર્ન કરો. આપણા પર યહોવા ખૂબ રોષે ભરાયા છે અને તેઓ આપણને સજા કરશે, કારણકે આપણા પૂર્વજોએ આ પોથીમાં જે કંઈ કરવાનું લખવામાં આવ્યું છે તેનું પાલન કર્યુ નહોતું. તેમાં જે આપણે કરવું જોઇએ તેમ કહ્યું છે, તે આપણે નહોતું કર્યું.”
World English Bible
Go you , inquire of Yahweh for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the wrath of Yahweh that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that which is written concerning us.
