ત્યારબાદ યહોયાદા રાજકુંવરને લઇ આવ્યો અને તેના માથા ઉપર રાજમુગટ પહેરાવ્યો. પછી તેણે તેના હાથમાં નિયમશાસ્ત્રના ગ્રંથની નકલ આપી તેને રાજા જાહેર કર્યો. ત્યારબાદ, યહોયાદા અને તેના પુત્રો દ્વારા તેનો રાજ્યાભિષેક કરાયા બાદ તેઓએ રાજા ઘણું જીવો ના પોકારો કર્યા.

Then they brought out the king's son, and put the crown on him, and gave him the testimony, and made him king: and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him; and they said, Long live the king.
