1তোমরা শেষ বর্ষার সময়ে সদাপ্রভুর কাছে বৃষ্টি যাচ্ঞা কর; সদাপ্রভু বিদ্যুতের উৎপাদক। তিনি লোকদিগকে প্রচুর বৃষ্টি দিবেন, প্রত্যেক জনের ক্ষেত্রে তৃণ দিবেন।
1Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, And he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.
2কেননা ঠাকুরগণ অসারতার কথা বলিয়াছে, মন্ত্রপাঠকেরা মিথ্যা দর্শন পাইয়াছে, ও মিথ্যা স্বপ্নের কথা বলিয়াছে; তাহারা বৃথাই সান্ত্বনা দেয়; এই কারণ লোকেরা মেষপালের ন্যায় চলিয়া যায় ও দুঃখ পায়, কেননা পালক নাই।
2For the teraphim have spoken vanity, And the diviners have seen a lie; And they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd.
3পালকদের প্রতি আমার ক্রোধ প্রজ্বলিত হইতেছে, আর আমি ছাগদিগকে প্রতিফল দিব; কারণ বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু আপন পাল যিহূদা-কুলের তত্ত্বাবধান করিয়াছেন, এবং তাহাকে আপনার সতেজ যুদ্ধাশ্বের ন্যায় করিবেন।
3My anger is kindled against the shepherds, And I will punish the male goats; For Yahweh of Hosts has visited his flock, the house of Judah, And will make them as his horse in the battle that he is proud of.
4তাহা হইতে কোণের প্রস্তর, তাহা হইতে গোঁজ, তাহা হইতে যুদ্ধ-ধনু, তাহা হইতে সমুদয় শাসনকর্ত্তা উৎপন্ন হইবে।
4From him will come forth the corner-stone, From him the nail, From him the battle bow, From him every ruler together.
5বীরগণের ন্যায় তাহারা যুদ্ধে [শত্রুদিগকে] পথের কর্দ্দমে মর্দ্দন করিবে; তাহারা যুদ্ধ করিবে, কেননা সদাপ্রভু তাহাদের সহবর্ত্তী; আর অশ্বারোহিগণ লজ্জিত হইবে।
5They shall be as mighty men, Treading down muddy streets in the battle; And they shall fight, because Yahweh is with them; And the riders on horses will be confounded.
6আর আমি যিহূদা-কুলকে বিক্রমী করিব, যোষেফ-কুলকে ত্রাণপ্রাপ্ত করিব, এবং তাহাদিগকে ফিরাইয়া আনিব, কেননা তাহাদের প্রতি আমার করুণা আছে, এবং তাহারা এমন হইবে, যেন আমি তাহাদিগকে পরিত্যাগ করি নাই; কারণ আমিই তাহাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু আর আমি তাহাদিগকে প্রার্থনার উত্তর দিব।
6"I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph, And I will bring them back; For I have mercy on them; And they will be as though I had not cast them off: For I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.
7আর ইফ্রয়িম বীরের তুল্য হইবে, এবং দ্রাক্ষারস দ্বারা যেমন আনন্দ হয়, তাহাদের অন্তঃকরণ তেমনি আনন্দ করিবে; তাহাদের সন্তানগণ দেখিবে ও আহ্লাদিত হইবে, তাহাদের অন্তঃকরণ সদাপ্রভুতে উল্লাস করিবে।
7Ephraim will be like a mighty man, And their heart will rejoice as through wine; Yes, their children will see it, and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh.
8আমি শিশ দিয়া তাহাদিগকে ডাকিব, তাহাদিগকে একত্র করিব, কারণ আমি তাহাদিগকে মুক্ত করিয়াছি, এবং তাহারা যেমন বহুবংশ ছিল, তেমনি বহুবংশ হইবে।
8I will signal for them, and gather them; For I have redeemed them; And they will increase as they have increased.
9আর আমি জাতিগণের মধ্যে তাহাদিগকে বপন করিব; তাহারা নানা দূর দেশে আমাকে স্মরণ করিবে; আর তাহারা আপন আপন সন্তানগণসহ জীবিত থাকিবে ও ফিরিয়া আসিবে।
9I will sow them among the peoples; And they will remember me in far countries; And they will live with their children, and will return.
10আমি তাহাদিগকে মিসর দেশ হইতে ফিরাইয়া আনিব, অশূর হইতে সংগ্রহ করিব; আমি তাহাদিগকে গিলিয়দ দেশে ও লিবানোনে আনিব, আর তাহাদের স্থানের অকুলান হইবে।
10I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, And gather them out of Assyria; And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; And there won't be room enough for them.
11আর তিনি সঙ্কট-সাগর দিয়া যাইবেন, তরঙ্গময় সমুদ্রকে প্রহার করিবেন, তাহাতে নীল নদের সকল গভীর স্থান শুষ্ক হইবে, অশূরের গর্ব্ব খর্ব্ব হইবে, ও মিসরের রাজদণ্ড দূরীকৃত হইবে।
11He will pass through the sea of affliction, And will strike the waves in the sea, And all the depths of the Nile will dry up; And the pride of Assyria will be brought down, And the scepter of Egypt will depart.
12আর আমি তাহাদিগকে সদাপ্রভুতে বিক্রমী করিব, এবং তাহারা তাঁহার নামে গমনাগমন করিবে, ইহা সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
12I will strengthen them in Yahweh; And they will walk up and down in his name," says Yahweh.
