1অয়ি নারীকুল-সুন্দরি! তোমার প্রিয় কোথায় গিয়াছেন? তোমার প্রিয় কোন্‌ দিকের পথ ধরিয়াছেন? আমরা তোমার সঙ্গে তাঁহার অন্বেষণ করিব।
1Where has your beloved gone, you fairest among women? Where has your beloved turned, that we may seek him with you? Beloved
2আমার প্রিয়তম আপন উপবনে সুগন্ধি ওষধির চৌকাতে গিয়াছেন, উপবনে [পাল] চরাইবার জন্য ও শোশন পুষ্প চয়ন করিবার জন্য।
2My beloved has gone down to his garden, To the beds of spices, To feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
3আমি আমার প্রিয়েরই ও আমার প্রিয় আমারই; তিনি শোশন পুষ্পবনে [পাল] চরান।
3I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine. He browses among the lilies,
4অয়ি মম প্রিয়ে! তুমি তির্সার ন্যায় সুন্দরী, যিরূশালেমের ন্যায় রূপবতী, সপতাকা বাহিনীর ন্যায় ভয়ঙ্করী।
4You are beautiful, my love, as Tirzah, Lovely as Jerusalem, Awesome as an army with banners.
5তুমি আমা হইতে তোমার নয়ন দুটী ফিরাও, কেননা উহারা আমাকে উদ্বিগ্ন করে; তোমার কেশপাশ এমন ছাগপালের ন্যায়, যাহারা গিলিয়দের পার্শ্বে শুইয়া থাকে।
5Turn away your eyes from me, For they have overcome me. Your hair is like a flock of goats, That lie along the side of Gilead.
6তোমার দন্তশ্রেণী মেষীর পালবৎ, যাহারা স্নান করিয়া উঠিয়া আসিয়াছে, যাহারা সকলে যমজ-শাবকবিশিষ্টা, যাহাদের মধ্যে একটীও মৃতবৎসা নাই।
6Your teeth are like a flock of ewes, Which have come up from the washing; Of which every one has twins; None is bereaved among them.
7তোমার ঘোমটার মধ্যে তোমার গণ্ডদেশ দাড়িম্বখণ্ডের ন্যায়।
7Your temples are like a piece of a pomegranate behind your veil.
8ষষ্টি রাণী ও অশীতি উপপত্নী আছে, আর অসংখ্য যুবতী আছে।
8There are sixty queens, eighty concubines, And virgins without number.
9আমার কপোতী, আমার শুদ্ধমতি অদ্বিতীয়া; সে আপন মাতার একমাত্র দুহিতা, সে আপন জননীর স্নেহপাত্রী; তাহাকে দেখিয়া কন্যাগণ ধন্যা বলিল, রাণীরা ও উপপত্নীরা তাহার প্রশংসা করিল।
9My dove, my perfect one, is unique. She is her mother's only daughter. She is the favorite one of her who bore her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed, The queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
10উনি কে, যিনি অরুণের ন্যায় উদীয়মানা, চন্দ্রের ন্যায় সুন্দরী, সূর্য্যের ন্যায় তেজস্বিনী, সপতাকা বাহিনীর ন্যায় ভয়ঙ্করী?
10Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Beautiful as the moon, Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners?
11আমি উপত্যকার নবীন তরুচয় দেখিতে, দ্রাক্ষালতা পল্লবিত হয় কি না, দেখিতে, দাড়িম্বপুষ্প ফুটে কি না, দেখিতে, আক্‌রোটের উপবনে নামিয়া গেলাম।
11I went down into the nut tree grove, To see the green plants of the valley, To see whether the vine budded, And the pomegranates were in flower.
12আমার অজ্ঞাতসারে আমার প্রাণ আমাকে স্থাপন করিল আমার মহোদয় জাতির রথরাজির [মধ্যে]।
12Without realizing it, My desire set me with my royal people's chariots. Friends
13ফির ফির, অয়ি শূলম্মীয়ে; ফির ফির, আমরা তোমাকে দেখিব। শূলম্মীয়াকে তোমরা কেন দেখিবে? মহনয়িমস্থ নৃত্যের ন্যায় কেন দেখিবে?
13Return, return, Shulammite! Return, return, that we may gaze at you. Lover Why do you desire to gaze at the Shulammite, As at the dance of Mahanaim?
