1যে ব্যক্তি পরাৎপরের অন্তরালে থাকে, সে সর্ব্বশক্তিমানের ছায়াতে বসতি করে।
1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2আমি সদাপ্রভুর বিষয়ে বলিব, ‘তিনি আমার আশ্রয়, আমার দুর্গ, আমার ঈশ্বর, আমি তাঁহাতে নির্ভর করিব’।
2I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust."
3হাঁ, তিনিই তোমাকে ব্যাধের ফাঁদ হইতে, ও সর্ব্বনাশক মারী হইতে রক্ষা করিবেন।
3For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
4তিনি আপন পালখে তোমাকে আবৃত করিবেন, তাঁহার পক্ষের নীচে তুমি আশ্রয় পাইবে; তাঁহার সত্য ঢাল ও তনুত্রাণস্বরূপ।
4He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
5তুমি ভীত হইবে না—রাত্রির ত্রাস হইতে, দিবসে উড্‌ডীয়মান শর হইতে,
5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6তিমির-বিহারী মারী হইতে, মধ্যাহ্নের সাংঘাতিক ব্যাধি হইতে।
6Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7পড়িবে তোমার পার্শ্বে সহস্র জন, তোমার দক্ষিণে দশ সহস্র জন, কিন্তু উহা তোমার নিকটে আসিবে না।
7A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it will not come near you.
8তুমি কেবল স্বচক্ষে নিরীক্ষণ করিবে, দুষ্টগণের প্রতিফল দেখিবে।
8You will only look with your eyes, And see the recompense of the wicked.
9‘হাঁ, সদাপ্রভু, তুমিই আমার আশ্রয়’। তুমি পরাৎপরকে আপনার বাসস্থান করিয়াছ;
9Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, And the Most High your dwelling place,
10তোমার কোন বিপদ ঘটিবে না, কোন উৎপাত তোমার তাম্বুর নিকটে আসিবে না।
10No evil shall happen to you, Neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
11কারণ তিনি আপন দূতগণকে তোমার বিষয়ে আজ্ঞা দিবেন, যেন তাঁহারা তোমার সমস্ত পথে তোমাকে রক্ষা করেন।
11For he will give his angels charge over you, To guard you in all your ways.
12তাঁহারা তোমাকে হস্তে করিয়া তুলিয়া লইবেন, পাছে তোমার চরণে প্রস্তরের আঘাত লাগে।
12They will bear you up in their hands, So that you won't dash your foot against a stone.
13তুমি সিংহ ও সর্পের উপর পা দিবে, তুমি যুবসিংহ ও নাগকে পদতলে দলিবে।
13You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
14‘সে আমাতে আসক্ত, তজ্জন্য আমি তাহাকে বাঁচাইব; আমি তাহাকে উচ্চে স্থাপন করিব, কারণ সে আমার নাম জ্ঞাত হইয়াছে।
14"Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
15সে আমাকে ডাকিবে, আমি তাহাকে উত্তর দিব; আমি সঙ্কটে তাহার সঙ্গে থাকিব; আমি তাহাকে উদ্ধার করিব, গৌরবান্বিতও করিব।
15He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.
16আমি দীর্ঘ আয়ু দিয়া তাহাকে তৃপ্ত করিব, আমার পরিত্রাণ তাহাকে দেখাইব।’
16I will satisfy him with long life, And show him my salvation."
