1মূঢ় মনে মনে বলিয়াছে, ‘ঈশ্বর নাই’। তাহারা নষ্ট, তাহারা ঘৃণার্হ অধর্ম্ম করিয়াছে; সৎকর্ম্ম করে, এমন কেহ নাই।
1For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Mahalath." A contemplation by David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is no one who does good.
2ঈশ্বর স্বর্গ হইতে মনুষ্য-সন্তানদের প্রতি নিরীক্ষণ করিলেন, দেখিতে চাহিলেন, বিবেচক কেহ আছে কি না, ঈশ্বরের অন্বেষণকারী কেহ আছে কি না।
2God looks down from heaven on the children of men, To see if there are any who understood, Who seek after God.
3সকলে বিপথে গিয়াছে, একসঙ্গে বিকারপ্রাপ্ত হইয়াছে; সৎকর্ম্ম করে, এমন কেহ নাই, এক জনও নাই।
3Every one of them has gone back. They have become filthy together. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
4অধর্ম্মাচারীদের কি কিছুই জ্ঞান নাই? তাহারা খাদ্য গ্রাস করিবার ন্যায় আমার প্রজাগণকে গ্রাস করে, আর ঈশ্বরকে ডাকে না।
4Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And don't call on God?
5ভয়শূন্য স্থানে তাহারা বড়ই ভয় পাইল; কেননা যাহারা তোমাকে অবরোধ করে, ঈশ্বর তাহাদের অস্থি ছড়াইয়া ফেলিলেন, তুমি তাহাদিগকে লজ্জা দিয়াছ, কারণ ঈশ্বর তাহাদিগকে অগ্রাহ্য করিয়াছেন।
5There they were in great fear, where no fear was, For God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you. You have put them to shame, Because God has rejected them.
6আহা! ইস্রায়েলের পরিত্রাণ সিয়োন হইতে উপস্থিত হউক; ঈশ্বর যখন আপন প্রজাদের বন্দিদশা হইতে ফিরাইয়া আনিবেন, তখন যাকোব উল্লাসিত হইবে, ইস্রায়েল আনন্দ করিবে।
6Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When God brings back the captivity of his people, Then Jacob shall rejoice. Israel shall be glad.
