1দ্বিতীয় খণ্ড। [1] হরিণী যেমন জলস্রোতের আকাঙ্ক্ষা করে, তেমনি, হে ঈশ্বর, আমার প্রাণ তোমার আকাঙ্ক্ষা করিতেছে।
1BOOK II For the Chief Musician. A contemplation by the sons of Korah. As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants after you, God.
2ঈশ্বরের জন্য, জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের জন্য আমার প্রাণ তৃষ্ণার্ত্ত। আমি কখন আসিয়া ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষাতে উপস্থিত হইব?
2My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
3আমার নেত্রজল দিবারাত্র আমার ভক্ষ্য হইল, কেননা লোকে সমস্ত দিন আমাকে বলে, ‘তোমার ঈশ্বর কোথায়?’
3My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually ask me, "Where is your God?"
4আমি ইহা স্মরণ করিয়া অন্তরে আপন প্রাণ ঢালি, কেননা আমি লোকারণ্যের সহিত যাত্রা করিতাম, তাহাদিগকে ঈশ্বরের গৃহে লইয়া যাইতাম, আনন্দ ও স্তবগানের ধ্বনির সহিত বহুলোক পর্ব্ব পালন করিত।
4These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, How I used to go with the crowd, and led them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.
5হে আমার প্রাণ, কেন অবসন্ন হও? আমার অন্তরে কেন ক্ষুব্ধ হও? ঈশ্বরে প্রত্যাশা রাখ; কেননা আমি আবার তাঁহার স্তব করিব; তিনি আমার মুখের পরিত্রাণ ও আমার ঈশ্বর।
5Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.
6আমার প্রাণ আমার অন্তরে অবসন্ন হইতেছে; সেইজন্য আমি তোমাকে স্মরণ করিতেছি, যর্দ্দনের দেশ হইতে, আর হর্ম্মোণ গিরিশ্রেণী, মিৎসিয়র পর্ব্বত হইতে।
6My God, my soul is in despair within me. Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, The heights of Hermon, from the hill Mizar.
7তোমার নির্ঝরসমূহের শব্দে জলপ্রবাহ জলপ্রবাহকে আহ্বান করিতেছে; তোমার সকল ঢেউ, তোমার সকল তরঙ্গ আমার উপর দিয়া যাইতেছে।
7Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves and your billows have swept over me.
8সদাপ্রভু দিবসে আপন দয়াকে আদেশ করিবেন, রাত্রিতে তাঁহার স্তোত্র আমার সঙ্গী হইবে, আমার জীবনেশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা [করিব]।
8Yahweh will command his loving kindness in the daytime. In the night his song shall be with me: A prayer to the God of my life.
9আমি আপন শৈলস্বরূপ ঈশ্বরকে বলিব, কেন আমাকে ভুলিয়া গিয়াছ? আমি কেন শত্রুর দৌরাত্ম্যে বিষণ্ণ হইয়া বেড়াইতেছি?
9I will ask God, my rock, "Why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?"
10আমার বিপক্ষেরা আমাকে তিরস্কার করে, যেন অস্থি পর্য্যন্ত চূর্ণ করে, তাহারা সমস্ত দিন আমাকে বলে, তোমার ঈশ্বর কোথায়?
10As with a sword in my bones, my adversaries reproach me, While they continually ask me, "Where is your God?"
11হে আমার প্রাণ, কেন অবসন্ন হও? আমার অন্তরে কেন ক্ষুব্ধ হও? ঈশ্বরের অপেক্ষা কর; কেননা আমি আবার তাঁহার স্তব করিব; তিনি আমার মুখের পরিত্রাণ ও আমার ঈশ্বর।
11Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, The saving help of my countenance, and my God.
