1যদি সদাপ্রভু আমাদের সপক্ষ না হইতেন, ইস্রায়েল ইহা বলুক,
1A Song of Ascents. By David. If it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, Let Israel now say,
2যদি সদাপ্রভু আমাদের সপক্ষ না হইতেন, যখন লোকেরা আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে উঠিয়াছিল,
2If it had not been Yahweh who was on our side, When men rose up against us;
3তখন তাহারা আমাদিগকে জীবদ্দশায় গ্রাস করিত, যখন আমাদের প্রতি তাহাদের ক্রোধ প্রজ্বলিত হইত।
3Then they would have swallowed us up alive, When their wrath was kindled against us;
4তখন জল আমাদিগকে প্লাবিত করিত, স্রোত আমাদের প্রাণের উপর দিয়া বহিত;
4Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul;
5তখন গর্ব্বিত জল আমাদের প্রাণের উপর দিয়া বহিত।
5Then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
6ধন্য সদাপ্রভু, তিনি আমাদিগকে উহাদের দন্তশ্রেণীতে ভক্ষ্যবৎ সমর্পণ করেন নাই।
6Blessed be Yahweh, Who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7আমাদের প্রাণ ব্যাধের ফাঁদ হইতে পক্ষীর ন্যায় রক্ষা পাইয়াছে; ফাঁদ ছিঁড়িয়াছে, আর আমরা রক্ষা পাইয়াছি।
7Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
8সদাপ্রভুর নামে আমাদের সাহায্য, তিনি আকাশ ও পৃথিবীর নির্ম্মাণকর্ত্তা।
8Our help is in the name of Yahweh, Who made heaven and earth.
