হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার প্রার্থনা শুন, আমার আর্ত্তনাদ তোমার কাছে উপস্থিত হউক।

A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before Yahweh. Hear my prayer, Yahweh! Let my cry come to you.

সঙ্কটের দিনে আমা হইতে মুখ লুকাইও না, আমার দিকে কর্ণপাত কর; যে দিন আমি ডাকি, ত্বরায় আমাকে উত্তর দিও।

Don't hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.
3
কেননা আমার দিন সকল ধূমে লীন হইয়াছে, আমার অস্থি সকল জ্বলন্ত কাষ্ঠবৎ তপ্ত হইয়াছে;

For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a firebrand.
4
আমার হৃদয় তৃণের ন্যায় রৌদ্রাহত হইয়া শুষ্ক হইয়াছে; আমি আহার করিতে ভুলিয়া যাই।

My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, For I forget to eat my bread.

আমার হাহাকার শব্দ প্রযুক্ত আমার অস্থিগুলি মাংসে সংসক্ত হইয়াছে।

By reason of the voice of my groaning, My bones stick to my skin.

আমি প্রান্তরস্থ পানিভেলার তুল্য হইয়াছি, উৎসন্ন স্থানের পেচকের সমান হইয়াছি।

I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.

আমি সজাগ থাকি, এবং এমন হইয়াছি, যেন চটক ছাদের উপরে একাকী রহিয়াছে।

I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.

শত্রুরা সমস্ত দিন আমাকে তিরস্কার করে, যাহারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে ক্রোধোন্মত্ত, তাহারা আমার নাম লইয়া শাপ দেয়।

My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.

বস্তুতঃ আমি খাদ্যের ন্যায় ভস্ম খাইয়াছি, আমার পেয় দ্রব্যের সহিত নেত্রজল মিশাইয়াছি।

For I have eaten ashes like bread, And mixed my drink with tears,
10
ইহার কারণ তোমার কোপ ও তোমার রোষ; কেননা তুমি আমাকে তুলিয়া আছাড় মারিয়াছ।

Because of your indignation and your wrath, For you have taken me up, and thrown me away.
11
আমার দিন হেলিয়া পড়া ছায়ার সদৃশ, আমি তৃণের ন্যায় শুষ্ক হইতেছি।

My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.
12
কিন্তু, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি অনন্তকাল সমাসীন থাকিবে, তোমার স্মরণ পুরুষে পুরুষে স্থায়ী।
12
But you, Yahweh, will abide forever; Your renown endures to all generations.
13
তুমি উঠিবে, সিয়োনের প্রতি করুণা করিবে; কারণ এখন তাহার প্রতি কৃপা করিবার সময়, কারণ নিরূপিত কাল উপস্থিত হইল।
13
You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.
14
যেহেতু তোমার দাসগণ তাহার প্রস্তরে প্রীত, তাহার ধূলির প্রতি কৃপা করিতেছে।
14
For your servants take pleasure in her stones, And have pity on her dust.
15
ইহাতে জাতিগণ সদাপ্রভুর নাম ভয় করিবে, পৃথিবীর সমস্ত রাজা তোমার প্রতাপে ভীত হইবে।
15
So the nations will fear the name of Yahweh; All the kings of the earth your glory.
16
কেননা সদাপ্রভু সিয়োনকে গাঁথিয়াছেন, তিনি স্বীয় প্রতাপে দর্শন দিয়াছেন;
16
For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.
17
তিনি দীনহীনদের প্রার্থনার দিকে ফিরিয়াছেন, তাহাদের প্রার্থনা তুচ্ছ করেন নাই।
17
He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, And has not despised their prayer.
18
ইহা ভাবী বংশের নিমিত্ত লিখিত হইবে; এবং যে জাতি সৃষ্ট হইবে, তাহারা সদাপ্রভুর প্রশংসা করিবে।

This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise Yah.
19
কেননা তিনি আপন উচ্চ ধর্ম্মধাম হইতে অবলোকন করিলেন; সদাপ্রভু স্বর্গ হইতে পৃথিবীতে দৃষ্টিপাত করিলেন;

For he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, Yahweh saw the earth;
20
বন্দির হাহাকার শুনিবার জন্য, মৃত্যুর সন্তানদিগকে মুক্ত করিবার জন্য;
20
To hear the groans of the prisoner; To free those who are condemned to death;
21
যেন প্রচারিত হয় সিয়োনে সদাপ্রভুর নাম, ও যিরূশালেমে তাঁহার প্রশংসা;
21
That men may declare the name of Yahweh in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem;
22
যৎকালে জাতিগণ একত্র মিলিবে, ও রাজ্য সকল মিলিবে, সদাপ্রভুর সেবা করিবার জন্য।
22
When the peoples are gathered together, The kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.
23
তিনি পথের মধ্যে আমার বল নত করিয়াছেন, তিনি আমার আয়ু সংক্ষেপ করিয়াছেন।

He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.
24
আমি বলিলাম, হে আমার ঈশ্বর, আয়ুর মধ্যভাগে আমাকে তুলিয়া লইও না; তোমার বৎসর সকল পুরুষে পুরুষে স্থায়ী।

I said, "My God, don't take me away in the midst of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.
25
তুমি পুরাকালে পৃথিবীর মূল স্থাপন করিয়াছ, আকাশমণ্ডলও তোমার হস্তের রচনা।
25
Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.
26
সে সকল বিনষ্ট হইবে, কিন্তু তুমি স্থির থাকিবে; সে সমস্ত বস্ত্রের ন্যায় জীর্ণ হইয়া পড়িবে, তুমি পরিচ্ছদের ন্যায় তাহাদিগকে খুলিবে, ও তাহাদের পরিবর্ত্তন হইবে।

They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.
27
কিন্তু তুমি যে সেই আছ, তোমার বৎসর সকল কখনও শেষ হইবে না।
27
But you are the same. Your years will have no end.
28
তোমার দাসদের সন্তানগণ বসতি করিবে, তাহাদের বংশ তোমার সাক্ষাতে অটল হইবে।
28
The children of your servants will continue. Their seed will be established before you."
