যোহনের বাপ্তিস্ম কোথা হইতে হইয়াছিল? স্বর্গ হইতে না মনুষ্য হইতে? তখন তাহারা পরস্পর তর্ক করিয়া বলিল, যদি বলি স্বর্গ হইতে, তাহা হইলে এ আমাদিগকে বলিবে, তবে তোমরা তাঁহাকে বিশ্বাস কর নাই কেন?

The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?" They reasoned with themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask us, 'Why then did you not believe him?'
