1আর সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে কহিলেন,
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
2তুমি ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণকে আরও বল, ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানগণের কোন ব্যক্তি কিম্বা ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে প্রবাসকারী কোন বিদেশী লোক যদি আপন বংশের কাহাকেও মোলক দেবের উদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করে, তবে তাহার প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে, দেশের লোকেরা তাহাকে প্রস্তরাঘাতে বধ করিবে।
2"Moreover, you shall tell the children of Israel, 'Anyone of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners in Israel, who gives any of his seed to Molech; he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.
3আর আমিও সেই ব্যক্তির প্রতি বিমুখ হইয়া তাহার লোকদের মধ্য হইতে তাহাকে উচ্ছিন্ন করিব; কেননা মোলক দেবের উদ্দেশে আপন বংশজাতকে দেওয়াতে সে আমার ধর্ম্মধাম অশুচি করে, ও আমার পবিত্র নাম অপবিত্র করে।
3I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people because he has given of his seed to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
4আর যে সময়ে সেই ব্যক্তি আপন বংশের কাহাকেও মোলক দেবের উদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করে, তৎকালে যদি দেশীয় লোকেরা চক্ষু মুদ্রিত করে,
4If the people of the land all hide their eyes from that person, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and don't put him to death;
5তাহাকে বধ না করে, তবে আমি সেই ব্যক্তির প্রতি ও তাহার গোষ্ঠীর প্রতি বিমুখ হইয়া তাহাকে ও মোলক দেবের সহিত ব্যভিচার করণার্থে তাহার অনুগামী ব্যভিচারী সকলকে তাহাদের লোকদের মধ্য হইতে উচ্ছিন্ন করিব।
5then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all who play the prostitute after him, to play the prostitute with Molech, from among their people.
6আর যে কোন প্রাণী ভূতড়িয়া কিম্বা গুণীদের অনুগমনে ব্যভিচার করিবার জন্য তাহাদের অভিমুখ হয়, আমি সেই প্রাণীর প্রতি বিমুখ হইয়া তাহার লোকদের মধ্য হইতে তাহাকে উচ্ছিন্ন করিব।
6"'The person that turns to those who are mediums, and to the wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.
7তোমরা আপনাদিগকে পবিত্র কর, পবিত্র হও; কেননা আমি সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বর।
7"'Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am Yahweh your God.
8আর তোমরা আমার বিধি মান্য করিও, পালন করিও; আমি সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের পবিত্রকারী।
8You shall keep my statutes, and do them. I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.
9যে কেহ আপন পিতাকে কিম্বা মাতাকে শাপ দেয়, তাহার প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে; পিতামাতাকে শাপ দেওয়াতে তাহার রক্ত তাহারই উপরে বর্ত্তিবে।
9"'For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death: he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
10আর যে ব্যক্তি পরের ভার্য্যার সহিত ব্যভিচার করে, যে ব্যক্তি প্রতিবাসীর ভার্য্যার সহিত ব্যভিচার করে, সেই ব্যভিচারী ও সেই ব্যভিচারিণী, উভয়ের প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে।
10"'The man who commits adultery with another man's wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
11আর যে ব্যক্তি আপন পিতৃভার্য্যার সহিত শয়ন করে, সে আপন পিতার আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করে; তাহাদের দুই জনেরই প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে, তাহাদের রক্ত তাহাদের উপরে বর্ত্তিবে।
11The man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
12এবং যদি কেহ নিজ পুত্রবধূর সহিত শয়ন করে, তবে তাহাদের দুই জনের প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে; তাহারা বিপরীত কর্ম্ম করিয়াছে; তাহাদের রক্ত তাহাদের উপরে বর্ত্তিবে।
12"'If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have committed a perversion; their blood shall be upon them.
13আর যেমন স্ত্রীর সহিত, তেমনি পুরুষ যদি পুরুষের সহিত শয়ন করে, তবে তাহারা দুই জন ঘৃণার্হ ক্রিয়া করে; তাহাদের প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে; তাহাদের রক্ত তাহাদের উপরে বর্ত্তিবে।
13If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
14আর যদি কেহ কোন স্ত্রীকে ও তাহার মাতাকে রাখে, তবে তাহা কুকর্ম্ম; তাহাদিগকে অগ্নিতে পোড়াইয়া দিতে হইবে, তাহাকে ও তাহাদের উভয়কে দিতে হইবে; যেন তোমাদের মধ্যে কুকার্য্য না হয়।
14"'If a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burned with fire, both he and they; that there may be no wickedness among you.
15আর যে কেহ কোন পশুর সহিত শয়ন করে, তাহার প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে; এবং তোমরা সেই পশুকেও বধ করিবে।
15"'If a man lies with an animal, he shall surely be put to death; and you shall kill the animal.
16আর কোন স্ত্রী যদি পশুর কাছে গিয়া তাহার সহিত শয়ন করে, তবে তুমি সেই স্ত্রীকে ও সেই পশুকে বধ করিবে; তাহাদের প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে, তাহাদের রক্ত তাহাদের উপরে বর্ত্তিবে।
16"'If a woman approaches any animal, and lies down with it, you shall kill the woman, and the animal: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
17আর যদি কেহ আপন ভগিনীকে, পিতৃকন্যাকে কিম্বা মাতৃকন্যাকে, গ্রহণ করে, ও উভয়ে উভয়ের আবরণীয় দেখে, তবে তাহা লজ্জাকর বিষয়; তাহারা আপন জাতির সন্তানদের সাক্ষাতে উচ্ছিন্ন হইবে; আপন ভগিনীর আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করাতে সে আপন অপরাধ বহন করিবে।
17"'If a man takes his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he has uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
18আর যদি কেহ রজস্বলা স্ত্রীর সহিত শয়ন করে ও তাহার আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করে, তবে সেই পুরুষ তাহার রক্তাকর প্রকাশ করাতে, ও সেই স্ত্রী আপন রক্তাকর অনাবৃত করাতে তাহারা উভয়ে আপন লোকদের মধ্য হইতে উচ্ছিন্ন হইবে।
18"'If a man lies with a woman having her monthly period, and uncovers her nakedness; he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
19আর তুমি আপন মাসীর কিম্বা পিসির আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করিও না; তাহা করিলে আপনার নিকটবর্ত্তী কুটুম্বের আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করা হয়, তাহারা উভয়েই আপন আপন অপরাধ বহন করিবে।
19"'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister, nor of your father's sister; for he has made naked his close relative: they shall bear their iniquity.
20আর যদি কেহ আপন পিতৃব্যার সহিত শয়ন করে, তবে আপন পিতৃব্যের আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করে; তাহারা আপন আপন পাপ বহন করিবে, নিঃসন্তান হইয়া মরিবে।
20If a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
21আর যদি কেহ আপন ভ্রাতৃপত্নীকে গ্রহণ করে, তাহা অশুচি কর্ম্ম; আপন ভ্রাতৃপত্নীর আবরণীয় অনাবৃত করাতে তাহারা নিঃসন্তান থাকিবে।
21"'If a man takes his brother's wife, it is an impurity: he has uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.
22তোমরা আমার সমস্ত বিধি ও আমার সমস্ত শাসন মান্য করিও, পালন করিও; যেন আমি তোমাদের বাসার্থে তোমাদিগকে যে দেশে লইয়া যাইতেছি, সেই দেশ তোমাদিগকে উদগীরণ না করে।
22"'You shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land, where I am bringing you to dwell, may not vomit you out.
23আর আমি তোমাদের সম্মুখ হইতে যে জাতিকে দূর করিতে উদ্যত, তাহার আচারানুযায়ী আচরণ করিও না; কেননা তাহারা ঐ সকল ক্রিয়া করিত, এই জন্য আমি তাহাদিগকে ঘৃণা করিলাম।
23You shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I am casting out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
24কিন্তু আমি তোমাদিগকে বলিয়াছি, তোমরাই তাহাদের দেশ অধিকার করিবে, আমি তোমাদিগকে অধিকারার্থে সেই দুগ্ধমধুপ্রবাহী দেশ দিব; আমি সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের ঈশ্বর; আমি অন্য জাতি সকল হইতে তোমাদিগকে পৃথক্‌ করিয়াছি।
24But I have said to you, "You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey." I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the peoples.
25অতএব তোমরা শুচি অশুচি পশুর ও শুচি অশুচি পক্ষীর প্রভেদ করিবে; আমি যে যে পশু, পক্ষী ও ভূচর কীটাদি জন্তুকে অশুচি বলিয়া তোমাদের হইতে পৃথক্‌ করিলাম, সে সকলের দ্বারা তোমরা আপনাদের প্রাণকে ঘৃণার্হ করিও না।
25"'You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.
26আর তোমরা আমার উদ্দেশে পবিত্র হও, কেননা আমি সদাপ্রভু পবিত্র, এবং আমি তোমাদিগকে জাতিগণ হইতে পৃথক্ করিয়াছি, যেন তোমরা আমারই হও।
26You shall be holy to me: for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.
27আর পুরুষের কিম্বা স্ত্রীর মধ্যে যে কেহ ভূতড়িয়া কিম্বা গুণী হয়, তাহার প্রাণদণ্ড অবশ্য হইবে; লোকে তাহাদিগকে প্রস্তরাঘাতে বধ করিবে; তাহাদের রক্ত তাহাদের প্রতি বর্ত্তিবে।
27"'A man or a woman that is a medium, or is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.'"
