1প্রভু আপন ক্রোধে সিয়োন-কন্যাকে কেমন মেঘাচ্ছন্ন করিয়াছেন! তিনি ইস্রায়েলের শোভা স্বর্গ হইতে ভূতলে নিক্ষেপ করিয়াছেন; তিনি আপন ক্রোধের দিনে আপন পাদপীঠ স্মরণ করেন নাই।
1How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He has cast down from heaven to the earth the beauty of Israel, And hasn't remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.
2প্রভু যাকোবের সমস্ত বাসস্থান গ্রাস করিয়াছেন, দয়া করেন নাই; তিনি ক্রোধে যিহূদা-কন্যার দৃঢ় দুর্গ সকল উৎপাটন করিয়াছেন, তিনি সে সমস্ত ভূমিসাৎ করিয়াছেন; রাজ্য ও তাহার অধ্যক্ষগণকে অশুচি করিয়াছেন।
2The Lord has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied: He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah; He has brought them down to the ground; he has profaned the kingdom and the princes of it.
3তিনি প্রচণ্ড ক্রোধে ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত শৃঙ্গ উচ্ছেদ করিয়াছেন, তিনি শত্রুর সম্মুখ হইতে আপন দক্ষিণ হস্ত সঙ্কুচিত করিয়াছেন, চতুর্দ্দিক্‌ দগ্ধকারী অগ্নিশিখার ন্যায় তিনি যাকোবকে প্রজ্বলিত করিয়াছেন।
3He has cut off in fierce anger all the horn of Israel; He has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy: He has burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours round about.
4তিনি শত্রুবৎ আপন ধনুকে চাড়া দিয়াছেন, বিপক্ষবৎ দক্ষিণ হস্ত তুলিয়া দাঁড়াইয়াছেন, আর নয়নরঞ্জন সকলকে বধ করিয়াছেন; তিনি সিয়োন-কন্যার তাম্বুমধ্যে আপন ক্রোধানল ঢালিয়া দিয়াছেন।
4He has bent his bow like an enemy, he has stood with his right hand as an adversary, Has killed all that were pleasant to the eye: In the tent of the daughter of Zion he has poured out his wrath like fire.
5প্রভু শত্রুবৎ হইয়াছেন, ইস্রায়েলকে গ্রাস করিয়াছেন, তিনি তাহার সমুদয় অট্টালিকা গ্রাস করিয়াছেন, তাহার দুর্গ সকল ধ্বংস করিয়াছেন, তিনি যিহূদা-কন্যার শোক ও বিলাপ বৃদ্ধি করিয়াছেন।
5The Lord is become as an enemy, he has swallowed up Israel; He has swallowed up all her palaces, he has destroyed his strongholds; He has multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
6তিনি বাগানের কুটীরের ন্যায় আপন কুটীর দূর করিয়াছেন, আপনার সমাগম-স্থান বিনষ্ট করিয়াছেন; সদাপ্রভু সিয়োনে পর্ব্ব ও বিশ্রামবার বিস্মৃত করাইয়াছেন, প্রচণ্ড ক্রোধে রাজাকে ও যাজককে অবজ্ঞা করিয়াছেন।
6He has violently taken away his tent, as if it were of a garden; he has destroyed his place of assembly: Yahweh has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion, Has despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
7প্রভু আপন যজ্ঞবেদি দূর করিয়াছেন, আপন পবিত্র স্থান ঘৃণা করিয়াছেন; তিনি তাহার অট্টালিকার ভিত্তি শত্রুহস্তে সমর্পণ করিয়াছেন; তাহারা সদাপ্রভুর গৃহমধ্যে পর্ব্বদিনের ন্যায় কোলাহল করিয়াছে।
7The Lord has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary; He has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces: They have made a noise in the house of Yahweh, as in the day of a solemn assembly.
8সদাপ্রভু সিয়োন-কন্যার প্রাচীর নষ্ট করিবার সঙ্কল্প করিয়াছেন; তিনি সূত্রপাত করিয়াছেন, লোপ করণ হইতে আপন হস্ত নিবৃত্ত করেন নাই; তিনি পরিখা ও প্রাচীরকে বিলাপ করাইয়াছেন, সে সকল একসঙ্গে তেজোহীন হইয়াছে।
8Yahweh has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion; He has stretched out the line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying; He has made the rampart and wall to lament; they languish together.
9পুরদ্বার সকল মৃত্তিকায় আচ্ছন্ন হইয়াছে, তিনি তাহার অর্গল নষ্ট ও খণ্ড খণ্ড করিয়াছেন; তাহার রাজা ও অধ্যক্ষগণ ব্যবস্থাবিহীন জাতিগণের মধ্যে থাকে; তাহার ভাববাদিগণও সদাপ্রভু হইতে কোন দর্শন পায় না।
9Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not; Yes, her prophets find no vision from Yahweh.
10সিয়োন-কন্যার প্রাচীনেরা মৃত্তিকায় বসিয়া আছে, নীরব হইয়া রহিয়াছে; তাহারা আপন আপন মস্তকে ধূলি ছড়াইয়াছে, তাহারা কটিদেশে চট বাঁধিয়াছে, যিরূশালেম-কুমারীগণ ভূমি পর্য্যন্ত মস্তক হেঁট করিতেছে।
10The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground, they keep silence; They have cast up dust on their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
11আমার নেত্রযুগল অশ্রুপাতে ক্ষীণ হইয়াছে, আমার অন্ত্র দগ্ধ হইতেছে; আমার জাতিরূপ কন্যার ভঙ্গ প্রযুক্ত আমার যকৃৎ মৃত্তিকায় চালা যাইতেছে, কেননা নগরের চকে চকে বালকবালিকা ও স্তন্যপায়ী শিশু মূর্চ্ছাপন্ন হয়।
11My eyes do fail with tears, my heart is troubled; My liver is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, Because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.
12তাহারা আপন আপন মাতাকে বলে, গোম ও দ্রাক্ষারস কোথায়? কেননা তাহারা নগরের চকে চকে খড়্‌গবিদ্ধ লোকদের ন্যায় মূর্চ্ছাপন্ন হয়, নিজ নিজ মাতার বক্ষঃস্থলে প্রাণত্যাগ করে।
12They tell their mothers, Where is grain and wine? When they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city, When their soul is poured out into their mothers' bosom.
13অয়ি যিরূশালেম-কন্যে, আমি কি বলিয়া তোমার কাছে সাক্ষ্য দিব? কিসের সহিত তোমার উপমা দিব? অয়ি সিয়োন-কুমারি, আমি তোমার সান্ত্বনার জন্য কিসের সহিত তোমার তুলনা দিব? কেননা তোমার ভঙ্গ সমুদ্রের ন্যায় বৃহৎ, তোমার চিকিৎসা করা কাহার সাধ্য?
13What shall I testify to you? what shall I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?
14তোমার ভাববাদিগণ তোমার নিমিত্ত অলীকতার ও মূর্খতার দর্শন পাইয়াছে, তাহারা তোমার বন্দি-দশা ফিরাইবার জন্য তোমার অধর্ম্ম ব্যক্ত করে নাই, কিন্তু তোমার নিমিত্ত অলীকতার ভাববাণী সকল ও নির্ব্বাসনের বিষয় সকল দর্শন করিয়াছে।
14Your prophets have seen for you false and foolish visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captivity, But have seen for you false oracles and causes of banishment.
15যে সকল লোক তোমার নিকট দিয়া যায়, তাহারা তোমার দিকে হাততালি দেয়; তাহারা শিশ দিয়া যিরূশালেম-কন্যার দিকে মাথা নাড়িয়া বলে, এ কি সেই নগর, যাহা ‘পরম সৌন্দর্য্যের স্থল’ ও ‘সমস্ত পৃথিবীর আনন্দ-স্থল’ নামে আখ্যাত ছিল?
15All that pass by clap their hands at you; They hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men called The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
16তোমার সমস্ত শত্রু তোমার বিরুদ্ধে মুখ খুলিয়া হাঁ করিয়াছে, তাহারা শিশ দিয়া দন্ত ঘর্ষণ করে, বলে, আমরা তাহাকে গ্রাস করিলাম, এ অবশ্য সেই দিনে, যাহার আকাঙ্ক্ষা করিতাম; আমরা পাইলাম, দেখিলাম।
16All your enemies have opened their mouth wide against you; They hiss and gnash the teeth; they say, We have swallowed her up; Certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.
17সদাপ্রভু যে সঙ্কল্প করিয়াছিলেন, তাহা সিদ্ধ করিয়াছেন; পুরাকালে যাহা আজ্ঞা করিয়াছিলেন, সেই বাক্য পূর্ণ করিয়াছেন, তিনি নিপাত করিয়াছেন, দয়া করেন নাই; তিনি শত্রুকে তোমার উপরে আনন্দ করিতে দিয়াছেন, তোমার বিপক্ষদের শৃঙ্গ উচ্চ করিয়াছেন।
17Yahweh has done that which he purposed; he has fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old; He has thrown down, and has not pitied: He has caused the enemy to rejoice over you; he has exalted the horn of your adversaries.
18লোকদের হৃদয় প্রভুর কাছে ক্রন্দন করিয়াছে; অহো সিয়োন-কন্যার প্রাচীর! দিবারাত্র অশ্রুধারা জলস্রোতের ন্যায় বহিয়া যাউক, আপনাকে কিছু বিশ্রাম দিও না, তোমার চক্ষুর তারাকে ক্ষান্ত হইতে দিও না।
18Their heart cried to the Lord: Wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no respite; don't let the apple of your eye cease.
19উঠ, রাত্রিকালে প্রত্যেক প্রহরের আরম্ভে বিলাপ কর, প্রভুর সম্মুখে আপন হৃদয় জলের ন্যায় ঢালিয়া দেও, তাঁহার উদ্দেশে হস্ত উত্তোলন কর, তোমার শিশুগণের প্রাণরক্ষার্থে, যাহারা প্রতি পথের মস্তকে ক্ষুধায় মূর্চ্ছাপন্ন রহিয়াছে।
19Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord: Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger at the head of every street.
20দেখ, হে সদাপ্রভু, অবধান কর, তুমি কাহার প্রতি এমন ব্যবহার করিয়াছ? স্ত্রীলোক কি আপন গর্ভফল, যাহাদিগকে হাতে করিয়া দোলাইয়াছে, সেই শিশুগুলি ভোজন করিবে? প্রভুর পবিত্র স্থানে কি যাজক ও ভাববাদী নিহত হইবে?
20Look, Yahweh, and see to whom you have done thus! Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the priest and the prophet be killed in the sanctuary of the Lord?
21বালক ও বৃদ্ধ পথে পথে ভূমিতে পড়িয়া আছে, আমার কুমারীগণ ও আমার যুবকগণ খড়্‌গে পতিত হইয়াছে; তুমি আপন ক্রোধের দিনে তাহাদিগকে বধ করিয়াছ; তুমি হত্যা করিয়াছ, দয়া কর নাই।
21The youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets; My virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword: You have killed them in the day of your anger; you have slaughtered, and not pitied.
22তুমি চারিদিক্‌ হইতে আমার ত্রাস সকলকে পর্ব্বদিনের ন্যায় আহ্বান করিয়াছ; সদাপ্রভুর ক্রোধের দিনে উত্তীর্ণ কি রক্ষাপ্রাপ্ত কেহ রহিল না; আমি যাহাদিগকে দোলাইতাম ও ভরণপোষণ করিতাম, আমার শত্রু তাহাদিগকে সংহার করিয়াছে।
22You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side; There was none that escaped or remained in the day of Yahweh's anger: Those that I have dandled and brought up has my enemy consumed.
