1সেই দিন দবোরা ও অবীনোয়মের পুত্র বারক এই গান করিলেন।
1Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
2ইস্রায়েলে নায়কগণ নেতৃত্ব করিলেন, প্রজারা স্ব-ইচ্ছায় আপনাদিগকে উৎসর্গ করিল, এজন্য তোমরা সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ কর।
2For that the leaders took the lead in Israel, For that the people offered themselves willingly, Bless you Yahweh.
3রাজগণ, শ্রবণ কর; নৃপগণ, কর্ণ দেও; আমি, আমিই সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে গান করিব, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে সঙ্গীত করিব,
3Hear, you kings; give ear, you princes; I, even I, will sing to Yahweh; I will sing praise to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
4হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি যখন সেয়ীর হইতে নির্গমন করিলে, ইদোম-ক্ষেত্র হইতে অগ্রসর হইলে, ভূমি কাঁপিল, আকাশও বর্ষিল, মেঘমালা জল বরিষণ করিল।
4Yahweh, when you went forth out of Seir, When you marched out of the field of Edom, The earth trembled, the sky also dropped, Yes, the clouds dropped water.
5সদাপ্রভুর সাক্ষাতে পর্ব্বতগণ কম্পমান হইল, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর সাক্ষাতে ঐ সীনয় কম্পমান হইল।
5The mountains quaked at the presence of Yahweh, Even yon Sinai at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
6অনাতের পুত্র শম্‌গরের সময়ে, যায়েলের সময়ে, রাজপথ শূন্য হইল, পথিকেরা বক্র পথ দিয়া গমন করিত।
6In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, In the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, The travelers walked through byways.
7নায়কগণ ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে ক্ষান্ত ছিলেন, তাঁহারা ক্ষান্ত ছিলেন; শেষে আমি দবোরা উঠিলাম, ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে মাতৃস্থানীয় হইয়া উঠিলাম।
7The rulers ceased in Israel, they ceased, Until that I Deborah arose, That I arose a mother in Israel.
8তাহারা নূতন দেবতা মনোনীত করিয়াছিল; তৎকালে নগরদ্বারে যুদ্ধ হইল; ইস্রায়েলের চল্লিশ সহস্র লোকের মধ্যে কি একখানা ঢাল বা শল্য দৃষ্ট হইল?
8They chose new gods; Then was war in the gates: Was there a shield or spear seen Among forty thousand in Israel?
9আমার হৃদয় ইস্রায়েলের অধ্যক্ষগণের অভিমুখ, যাঁহারা প্রজাদের মধ্যে স্ব-ইচ্ছায় আপনাদিগকে উৎসর্গ করিলেন; তোমরা সদাপ্রভুর ধন্যবাদ কর।
9My heart is toward the governors of Israel, Who offered themselves willingly among the people: Bless you Yahweh.
10তোমরা যাহারা শুভ্র গর্দ্দভীতে চড়িয়া থাক, যাহারা দুলিচার উপরে বসিয়া থাক, যাহারা পথে ভ্রমণ কর, তোমরাই উহার সংবাদ দেও।
10Tell of it, you who ride on white donkeys, You who sit on rich carpets, You who walk by the way.
11ধনুর্দ্ধরদের রব হইতে দূরে, জল তুলিবার স্থান সকলে, সেখানে কীর্ত্তিত হইতেছে সদাপ্রভুর ধর্ম্মক্রিয়া, ইস্রায়েলে তাঁহার শাসন সংক্রান্ত ধর্ম্মক্রিয়া সমূহ; তখন সদাপ্রভুর প্রজাগণ নগরদ্বারে নামিয়া যাইত।
11Far from the noise of archers, in the places of drawing water, There shall they rehearse the righteous acts of Yahweh, Even the righteous acts of his rule in Israel. Then the people of Yahweh went down to the gates.
12দবোরে, জাগ্রত হও, জাগ্রত হও; জাগ্রত হও, জাগ্রত হও, গীত গান কর; বারক, উঠ; অবীনোয়মের পুত্র, তোমার বন্দিগণকে বন্দি কর।
12Awake, awake, Deborah; Awake, awake, utter a song: Arise, Barak, and lead away your captives, you son of Abinoam.
13তখন নরেন্দ্রদের অবশিষ্টেরা ও জনগণ নামিল; সদাপ্রভু আমার পক্ষে সেই বিক্রমীদের বিরুদ্ধে নামিলেন।
13Then came down a remnant of the nobles and the people; Yahweh came down for me against the mighty.
14ইফ্রয়িম হইতে অমালেক-নিবাসীরা [আসিল]; বিন্যামীন তোমার লোকদের মধ্যে তোমার পশ্চাতে [আসিল]; মাখীর হইতে অধ্যক্ষগণ নামিলেন, সবূলূন হইতে রণ-দণ্ডধারিগণ নামিলেন।
14Out of Ephraim came down they whose root is in Amalek; After you, Benjamin, among your peoples; Out of Machir came down governors, Out of Zebulun those who handle the marshal's staff.
15ইষাখরের অধ্যক্ষগণ দবোরার সঙ্গী ছিলেন, ইষাখর যেমন বারকও তেমনি, তাঁহার পশ্চাতে তাঁহারা বেগে তলভূমিতে গেলেন। রূবেণের স্রোতঃসমূহের নিকটে গুরুতর চিত্তসংঙ্কল্প হইল।
15The princes of Issachar were with Deborah; As was Issachar, so was Barak; Into the valley they rushed forth at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben There were great resolves of heart.
16তুমি কেন মেষবাথানের মধ্যে বসিলে? কি মেষপালকগণের বংশীবাদ্য শুনিবার জন্য? রূবেণের স্রোতঃসমূহের নিকটে গুরুতর চিত্তপরীক্ষা হইল।
16Why sat you among the sheepfolds, To hear the whistling for the flocks? At the watercourses of Reuben There were great searchings of heart.
17গিলিয়দ যর্দ্দনের ওপারে বাস করিল, আর দান কেন জাহাজে রহিল? আশের সমুদ্রের পোতাশ্রয়ে বসিয়া থাকিল, নিজ খালের ধারে বাস করিল।
17Gilead abode beyond the Jordan: Dan, why did he remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, Abode by his creeks.
18সবূলূন-প্রজাগণ প্রাণ তুচ্ছ করিল মৃত্যু পর্য্যন্ত, নপ্তালিও করিল ক্ষেত্রের উচ্চ উচ্চ স্থানে।
18Zebulun was a people that jeopardized their lives to the death, Naphtali, on the high places of the field.
19রাজগণ আসিয়া যুদ্ধ করিলেন, তখন কনানের রাজগণ যুদ্ধ করিলেন, মগিদ্দোর জলতীরস্থ তানকে যুদ্ধ করিলেন; তাঁহারা একখণ্ড রৌপ্যও লইলেন না।
19The kings came and fought; Then fought the kings of Canaan. In Taanach by the waters of Megiddo: They took no gain of money.
20আকাশমণ্ডল হইতে যুদ্ধ হইল, স্ব স্ব অয়নে তারাগণ সীষরার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করিল।
20From the sky the stars fought, From their courses they fought against Sisera.
21কীশোন নদী তাহাদিগকে ভাসাইয়া লইয়া গেল; সেই প্রাচীন নদী, কীশোন নদী। হে আমার প্রাণ, সবলে অগ্রসর হও।
21The river Kishon swept them away, That ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.
22তখন অশ্বদের খুর ভূমি পেষণ করিল ধাবন হেতু, তাহাদের পরাক্রমীদের ধাবন হেতু।
22Then did the horse hoofs stamp By reason of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones.
23সদাপ্রভুর দূত বলেন, মেরোসকে শাপ দেও, তথাকার নিবাসীদিগকে দারুণ শাপ দেও; কেননা তাহারা আসিল না সদাপ্রভুর সাহায্যের জন্য, সদাপ্রভুর সাহায্যের জন্য, বিক্রমীদের বিরুদ্ধে।
23Curse you Meroz, said the angel of Yahweh. Curse you bitterly the inhabitants of it, Because they didn't come to the help of Yahweh, To the help of Yahweh against the mighty.
24মহিলাদের মধ্যে যায়েল ধন্যা, কেনীয় হেবরের পত্নী ধন্যা, তাম্বুবাসিনী স্ত্রীলোকদের মধ্যে তিনি ধন্যা।
24Blessed above women shall Jael be, The wife of Heber the Kenite; Blessed shall she be above women in the tent.
25সে জল চাহিল, তিনি তাহাকে দুগ্ধ দিলেন। রাজোপযোগী পাত্রে ক্ষীর আনিয়া দিলেন।
25He asked water, and she gave him milk; She brought him butter in a lordly dish.
26তিনি গোঁজে হস্ত দিলেন। কর্ম্মকারের মুদগরে দক্ষিণ হস্ত দিলেন; তিনি সীষরাকে মুদগর মারিলেন, তাহার মস্তক বিদ্ধ করিলেন, তাহার কাণপাটি ভাঙ্গিলেন, বিদ্ধ করিলেন।
26She put her hand to the tent-pin, Her right hand to the workmen's hammer; With the hammer she struck Sisera, she struck through his head; Yes, she pierced and struck through his temples.
27সে তাঁহার চরণে হেঁট হইয়া পড়িল, লম্বমান হইল; তাঁহার চরণে হেঁট হইয়া পড়িল; যেখানে হেঁট হইল, তথায় মরিয়া পড়িল।
27At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay; At her feet he bowed, he fell; Where he bowed, there he fell down dead.
28সীষরার মাতা গবাক্ষ দিয়া চাহিল, সে বাতায়ন হইতে ডাকিয়া কহিল, তাহার রথ আসিতে কেন বিলম্ব করে? তাহার রথচক্র কেন মন্দ মন্দ চলে?
28Through the window she looked forth, and cried, The mother of Sisera cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait?
29তাহার জ্ঞানবতী সহচরীগণ উত্তর করিল, সে আপনিও আপনার কথার উত্তর দিল,
29Her wise ladies answered her, Yes, she returned answer to herself,
30তাহারা কি পায় নাই? লুট অংশ করিয়া লয় নাই? প্রত্যেক পুরুষ একটী কামিনী, দুইটী কামিনী, আর সীষরা চিত্রিত বস্ত্র পাইয়াছে, চিত্রিত সূচিকার্য্যের বস্ত্র পাইয়াছে, চিত্রিত দুই ধারি বাঁধা বস্ত্র লুটকারীর কণ্ঠে।
30Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A lady, two ladies to every man; To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?
31হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার সর্ব্ব শত্রু এইরূপে বিনষ্ট হউক, কিন্তু তোমার প্রেমকারিগণ সপ্রতাপে গমনকারী সূর্য্যের সদৃশ হউক। পরে চল্লিশ বৎসর দেশ নিষ্কন্টকে থাকিল।
31So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh: But let those who love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. The land had rest forty years.
