ফলতঃ গোপনে স্থিত সৈন্যদল নগর হস্তগত করিয়াছে ও নগরের ধূম উঠিতেছে, ইহা দেখিয়া যিহোশূয় ও সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল ফিরিয়া অয়ের লোকদিগকে সংহার করিতে লাগিলেন;
