তখন সদাপ্রভু যিহোশূয়কে কহিলেন, তুমি উহাদের হইতে ভীত হইও না; কেননা কল্য এমন সময়ে আমি ইস্রায়েলের সম্মুখে উহাদের সকলকেই নিহত করিয়া সমর্পণ করিব; তুমি উহাদের ঘোড়ার পায়ের শিরা ছেদন করিবে ও রথ সকল আগুনে পোড়াইয়া দিবে।

Yahweh said to Joshua, Don't be afraid because of them; for tomorrow at this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: you shall hamstring their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
